"I thought I could change him, you know?" 20th Century Studios has unveiled the first official trailer for The Bikeriders, the latest film from acclaimed filmmaker Jeff Nichols, his first feature hitting theaters since Loving in 2016. Glad to see him back. This recently premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival this past weekend, and it's next playing at the London Film Festival coming up this fall. The film follows the rise of a Midwestern motorcycle club (a fictional one) through the lives of its members. The cast, most of whom did their own riding on an array of period-correct bikes, also includes Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Boyd Holbrook, and Norman Reedus, along with lead actors Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and Tom Hardy. One hell of a cast!! From writer-director Jeff Nichols, 20th Century Studios & New Regency, The Bikeriders is a furious drama following the rise of a fictional 1960s Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members. Described by critics as an "evocative and masculine piece of storytelling." This looks like some gritty, grimy, fascinating filmmaker that is worthy of our attention.
