"You are not welcome." Sony Pictures has debuted a US trailer for the Spanish horror film Veneciafrenia, set in the iconic Italian town of Venice. 🇮🇹 This originally premiered in 2021 at the Sitges Film Festival, and is already out to watching most of Europe already - streaming on Prime Video. Directed by Spanish horror filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia, it's the first in Sony + Amazon's "The Fear Collection" series of horror features. The tourism thriller stars Caterina Murino, Cosimo Fusco, Ingrid García Jonsson, Silvia Alonso, Goize Blanco, Nicolás Iloro, and Alberto Bang as a group of Spanish friends who travel into Venice on a vacation trip. But as soon as they arrive to their destination, they encounter with furious inhabitants who refuse to welcome any foreigners, and a deadly killer who hunts each of them down. So this seems like an attempt at a "Venetians don't like tourists" horror movie? It has bad reviews and looks extremely cheesy, but if you're still curious to check it out – it's already available on VOD to watch in the US as well. Have a look. // Continue Reading ›
