Abigail Breslin in Stylish Meta Hollywood Neo-Noir 'Chapter 51' Trailer
"This one changed Hollywood forever." Cineverse has debuted the full official trailer for an indie film titled Chapter 51, the latest creation from filmmaker Tyler Shields (also of Final Girl, Outlaw). This intriguing indie creation is set for a VOD release next week to watch at home anytime. If you're curious, give it a spin. A fascinating tale of mystery within Hollywood. During the making of a $500 million film, three actresses are murdered by an unidentified figure known only as the Hollywood Killer. As fear begins to spread across the entire film set, production continues under a new director. Years later, former FBI agent Thomas Scott reopens the case – unraveling a haunting story of ambition, obsession, and the cost of keeping the cameras rolling. It's a meta thriller with some very stylish cinematography following the unveiling of dark truths – however the suspect pool is vast & deceptive. Starring Abigail Breslin, Colman Domingo, Emily Alyn Lind, Charlotte Lawrence, Dylan Sprayberry, and Connor Paolo. It's also produced by Giovanni Ribisi. An impressive cast they wrangled up. Tyler Shields himself is also the cinematographer on it - and it states they even shot some of it on IMAX film cameras. Not sure what's going on in here, but I am intrigued. // Continue Reading ›

Another Gorgeous Trailer for 'A Sad & Beautiful World' Love Story Film
"From Beirut all the way to the stars!" Watermelon Pictures has released their own official US trailer for the indie drama titled A Sad and Beautiful World, a Lebanese love story from Beirut spanning three full decades. It's finally getting a US release in art house theaters in July this summer - we also posted another trailer last year. A story of connection and hope and love amidst a changing, dangerous modern world. Set in Beirut, the film follows childhood sweethearts Nino (Hasan Akil) and Yasmina (Mounia Akl), who had lost sight of one another for a while, reuniting many years later in their 20s against the backdrop of political turmoil and social collapse in present-day Lebanon. Across three decades of passion, loss, and hope, Nino and Yasmina are bound by a magnetic relationship. Torn between love & survival, they must decide whether to build a family and seek happiness in Lebanon, or leave their home, amid the country's many tragedies. From director Cyril Aris, this powerful indie film stars Mounia Akl and Hasan Akil, with Julia Kassar, Camille Salameh, Tino Karam, and Nadyn Chalhoub. I like the other trailer more because it features the stunning cinematography – nonetheless, this looks like a worthwhile release to catch on the big screen. // Continue Reading ›

Twisted Horror Thriller 'Capps Crossing: Wrong Side of Dead' Trailer
"We all have secrets, don't we?" Lionsgate has unveiled the official trailer for an indie horror thriller movie titled Capps Crossing: Wrong Side of Dead, arriving to watch on VOD directly starting later on this month. Skipping theaters but will be out on VOD anyway – though really nothing here to write home about. This is a surprise sequel to the 2017 indie horror film called Capps Crossing, and it's once again written and directed by the filmmaker Mike Stahl coming back to make the follow-up. When a behavioral science major investigates murders at Capps Crossing, she finds herself trapped in a twisted web of lies surrounding the local ranger and his son. Amber is forced to use every tool in her arsenal to survive against a seductive and brutal killer, but nothing is what it seems in this riveting psychological thriller. Starring Sabina Gadecki as Amber, Garrett C. Phillips, Gary Cooney, Sarah Elizabeth Withers, Mattie Maderos, Shawna Della-Ricca, John Ryan McLaughlin, Kasey Keys, with Beverly D'Angelo. This looks like another generic forest slasher with all the usual tropes. Deserves a direct-to-video release and then it'll be forgotten. // Continue Reading ›

New UK Trailer for Pedro Almodovar's Meta 'Bitter Christmas' Movie
"You need to enjoy things more. Go out, live! Not everything is about writing and making films." But isn't it? Curzon Films in the UK has revealed their full official trailer for the film Bitter Christmas, the latest Pedro Almodóvar film from this year. It already opened in Spain back in March to mixed reviews. Then it premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival also to mixed reviews. Now it has an August release date set for the UK but nothing confirmed for the US yet. During a long December holiday weekend, a woman, whose mother died recently, throws herself into more work as a form of escape. Her relentless pace is interrupted when a panic attack forces her to take a break. She travels to Lanzarote with her friend Patricia while her partner Bonifacio stays in Madrid. In 2026, a filmmaker turns her story into a screenplay, blurring the lines between reality, fiction, and the people closest to him. This stars Bárbara Lennie, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Victoria Luengo (also in The Beloved), Patrick Criado, Milena Smit, Quim Gutiérrez, Rossy de Palma, Carmen Machi, & Gloria Muñoz. We also featured the original Spanish trailer for this earlier in the year. As nice as it is to always see a new Almodovar film, there doesn't seem to be much good buzz for this one at all. It's a meta story about Almodovar writing his scripts and it gets weird. // Continue Reading ›

After premiering last year at the 2025 Screamfest Horror Film Festival, this is finally set for release this summer – but they're sending it to VOD directly starting in early August. It's a meta concept involving a horror screenwriter's nightmares crossing into reality. He also just seems like he really hates other people and doesn't care much. Nightmares of a maniac killer in a baby mask (known as "Big Baby") inspire a horror writer’s new script. But as his life begins to spiral out of control, he discovers Big Baby's murderous rampage may be more than just fiction. Just over one month to go! Still excited? This is the fourth solo Spider-Man with Tom Holland, produced in partnership with Marvel Studios and made by Sony. Spider-Man: Brand New Day once again stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, who is trying to move on from being the superhero Spider-Man after his multiverse experience in No Way Home, alas he's back to fight off more villains. The cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk / Brue Banner, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Michael Mando as the villain Scorpion, Tramell Tillman, plus Keith David. A much better promo than the first one a few months ago – saving the best footage for this trailer. Tons of new reveals, including appearances by Hulk and Punisher and some ninjas and a lot more. First Real Teaser for DreamWorks' 'Shrek 5' Sequel That No One Needs
"You really can't help yourself, can you?" Nope! They just had to come back and make another one of these. DreamWorks Animation has revealed the first real teaser trailer fro Shrek 5, a new sequel in the Shrek franchise. This will be released a full 17 years after Shrek Forever After, the fourth movie that opened back in 2010. There hasn't been any other continuation since, unless you count the recent Puss in Boots movies or Shrek on Ice (for real) or whatever random brand concepts they've cooked up. Shrek 5 is the fifth movie in this popular animation series, which began in 2001. The original voice cast returns - Cameron Diaz as Fiona, Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey. With the addition of Zendaya voicing Felicia, Shrek and Fiona's not-so-young-anymore daughter. Plus Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo as Felicia’s brothers, Fergus and Farkle. More than a year ago, they released a quick announcement promo but everyone hated the Shrek redesign so they tried to reconfigure the character looks but not much as changed since then. Though this is why this movie has been delayed by another year – set to hit theaters in summer 2027. Do we really need another legacy sequel? Will this do anything different or is it just more of the same? // Continue Reading ›

"It's about coming together to support a hero who gives us so much and asks for nothing. Maybe together we can help him make it a friendlier neighborhood for everybody." Spidey fans need to check this out! The next big Spider-Man movie hits theaters next month - at the end of July this summer (watch the trailer). Official Trailer for 'How to Live on Earth' Cumberbatch's Optimistic Doc
🌎 "What if the answer to our biggest challenges has been here all along? Welcome to the world's greatest how-to video!" Open Planet has revealed their main official trailer for the documentary titled How to Live on Earth, presented by and featuring actor Benedict Cumberbatch. This is primarily only getting a UK theatrical release this summer before it's on YouTube later in the year. And strangely it hasn't played at any festivals yet despite being a good one to show. How to Live on Earth is an ambitious, visionary doc film that explores our vital connection to nature and its role in our future. Unlike many other depressing docs about climate change, this one is optimistic. "Heart-warming, entertaining, energising, the film presents a hopeful vision of a future within reach – one in which nature thrives, and so do we. Lead contributors include Xiye Bastida, a climate justice activist, Dan O'Neill, a field biologist, wildlife filmmaker, and explorer, and Sam Kass, a former White House chef & senior policy advisor on nutrition, who all share fascinating stories that bring to life the extraordinary value of nature and the jeopardy of a world without it." New 4K Restoration Trailer for PTA's 'Boogie Nights' Movie from 1997
"I plan on being a star. A big, bright shining star." Park Circus has revealed a new official trailer for the 4K restoration & re-release of the early PTA classic Boogie Nights. Years before he would go on to finally win his Oscars, Paul Thomas Anderson's breakout movie was this one - Boogie Nights in 1997. It premiered at the Toronto & New York Film Festivals in the fall before opening in theaters in October that year and doing pretty well at the box office for a little film about adult films. Boogie Nights is PTA's swirling portrait of the porn industry in California of the 1970s & 1980s. Through the rise and fall of Dirk Diggler, the film sketches a world full of ambition, fame, addiction, and a craving for family. Big, energetic and tragicomic: a modern American classic about people who want to be seen. Featuring Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly, William H. Macy, Heather Graham, Nicole Ari Parker, and the iconic Philip Seymour Hoffman. It earned a few Oscar noms but didn't win any. All these years later and it's still considered one of PTA's best movies, about a lot more than just pornography. Roger Ebert wrote: "Through all the characters and all the action, Anderson's screenplay centers on the human qualities of the players... Boogie Nights has the quality of many great films, in that it always seems alive." Boogie on. // Continue Reading ›

Flashy 20th Anniversary Trailer for Pixar's 'Cars' Movie - The First One
"I didn't come all this way to see you quit." Disney & Pixar have revealed a brand new 20th Anniversary trailer for the 2026 re-release of the Pixar hit Cars, which first hit theaters in June 2026. Almost 20 years ago exactly! This was one of the movies we were excited to watch during the first summer of FirstShowing launching also 20 years ago. Even though Cars didn't get great reviews from critics at first, it was a huge hit worldwide and spawned many sequels + theme park rides + merch (and so much more). I also think it's way better than most people remember. This first Cars movie (sequels are different) is quite good, a thoughtful rumination on finding family and discovering small time life may be for you. 20 years ago today, a stop in Radiator Springs showed us that the journey matters as much as the finish line. Cars features the voices of Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, with Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Michael Keaton, Larry the Cable Guy, Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub, and George Carlin. Watch: Steven Spielberg Cinema Retrospective - 50 Years / 34 Films
"Sometimes I wonder if I've changed so much, if my wife is even gonna recognize me..." So many amazing movies... In honor of the release of the 35th movie by maestro Steven Spielberg, enjoy this magnificent retrospective mashup taking us back through everything he's made. In theaters now is Disclosure Day, the latest sci-fi creation from Spielberg's mind. Created by Canadian movie lover Adam Kruspe, this recap was first posted on YouTube in late 2024 to celebrate 50 years of Spielberg – going back to The Sugarland Express (1974). Technically his first movie is Duel from 1971, but it's listed later in 1982 for its theatrical debut. The video features iconic shots & quotes & unforgettable moments from all 34 of his movies (before this new one), with beautiful crossfades connecting scenes from different movies into one long, emotional look back at Spielberg's cinema magic. I love almost EVERY single Spielberg movie, though not all of them of course, but each & every one is exceptional in its own unique way. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Spielberg is 79 years old and will celebrate his 80th this December. He still seems to be going strong, with plans to make even more movies after Disclosure Day. My faves: Hook, Jurassic Park, all 3 Indys, & Catch Me If You Can. // Continue Reading ›

New Trailer for 4K Re-Release of 'Ninja Scroll' 90s Action Anime Classic
"When I die, I'll take you to Hell with me!" AMC has revealed a new official trailer for the 4K re-release and celebration of the classic Japanese anime Ninja Scroll, originally released in 1993 in Japan. Set in the age of samurai during the Edo period of feudal Japan, written & directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, Ninja Scroll is now considered a truly seminal work in anime filmmaking. This premiered at Berlinale earlier this year and will be out in US theaters in October this fall – for just a few nights only. A vagabond swordsman is aided by a kunoichi and a spy in battling a demonic clan of killers led by a ghost from his past, bent on overthrowing the Tokugawa Shogunate. Featuring the voices of Emi Shinohara, Kôichi Yamadera, Takeshi Aono, Daisuke Gōri, Toshihiko Seki. This 4K restoration of Ninja Scroll was produced by AMC Global Media's Sentai under the supervision of Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri. The digital update was a painstaking restoration and remastering of the movie — a meticulous process that involved a 4K scan of the original 35mm negative, then repairing any damage and color correction. This is looking pristine! A must see big screen experience. // Continue Reading ›

New Trailer for 'The Fast and the Furious' 25th Anniversary Re-Release
"Wanna go for a drive?" Universal Pictures has unveiled a brand new anniversary trailer for the OG classic The Fast and the Furious, the very first movie that launched this franchise all these years ago. Originally released in June 2001, The Fast and the Furious is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year & Universal is sending it back into theaters this August. It also had a special screening at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. "Over the course of 11 films that have stoked passion in an ever-expanding audience and have earned more than $7 billion U.S. at the worldwide box office, Universal's record-smashing, homegrown Fast & Furious Saga has become the studio’s most-profitable and longest-running franchise." Directed by Rob Cohen, The Fast and the Furious stars Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, and Ted Levine. The Fast Saga then continued on with many sequels & spin-offs, and they've got the next Fast Forever sequel scheduled for 2028. Many die-hard fans consider the second movie the best, but this first one is still tons of fun. And more raw in the way it actually had to set the stakes and make the driving realistic which was copied after. Catch it on the big screen again. // Continue Reading ›

Brad Pitt + Dog in Survival Thriller 'Heart of the Beast' Official Trailer
"One last mission... We're not going to die out here!" "We've been through worse..." 🐕 Paramount Pictures has launched the first official trailer for Heart of the Beast, a new wilderness survival thriller from action filmmaker David Ayer (of Fury, Suicide Squad, Bright, The Tax Collector, The Beekeeper, A Working Man). This time he snagged Brad Pitt for his leading man taking a break from Statham. This dog movie + survival adventure will arrive in theaters nationwide this September. A former Army Special Forces soldier and his retired combat dog, Odin, attempt to return to civilization after a plane crash out in the Alaskan wilderness. They are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements. This new movie is an intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet. Starring Brad Pitt and his doggie, with J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. Even though it's set in Alaska, this was shot entirely in New Zealand at various national parks & locations in that country. Even though I love the doggie, this looks like a generic macho military man movie. Just watch The Grey instead. // Continue Reading ›

Review: Spielberg's Sci-Fi 'Disclosure Day' Really is Afraid of The Truth
The truth will set us free. But will it really? Or is this just another nice platitude we all like to hear? We live in a very strange, post-truth era now, where the actual truth doesn't seem to matter much, and many people are instead obsessed entirely with believing whatever "truths" they prefer all because objective truths are too scary now (e.g. vaccines, climate change, etc). I'm not sure if Steven Spielberg doesn't know this, doesn't understand this, or doesn't know what to say or how to address this, because his new sci-fi film Disclosure Day is obsessed with discovering and unveiling the truth (about aliens) to the world in a time where doing this makes no difference anymore. He seems so lost in his own conspiracy theories and his faith about aliens being here on Earth, that he forgets to actually tell an interesting story with a meaningful message. He also forgets to actually make a movie that's about aliens at all. And most importantly, he seems to have forgotten to have anything actually worthwhile to say within this movie. The ending is blatant avoidance and massive cinematic fumble, even if the rest of the movie before is quite thrilling. Sorry Mr. Spielberg, but this ain't it. // Continue Reading ›

First Look Teaser for 'The Social Reckoning' Sorkin's Facebook Sequel
"Senior leadership knows, and is doing nothing." Sony Pictures has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for The Social Reckoning, the highly anticipated follow-up to David Fincher's 2010 film The Social Network about Facebook. This time, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin returns but is also directing the movie in addition to writing it. The Social Reckoning, a companion piece to The Social Network, will debut in theaters starting in October this fall. "Every revolution begins with a reckoning." This sequel follows the story of Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer, who enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz, a Wall Street Journal reporter, to blow the whistle on the social network's most guarded secrets. Starring Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, with Bill Burr, and Jeremy Strong as the slimy Mark Zuckerberg trying to get out of being responsible for any of the problems Facebook has caused. Not only an impressive cast in here, but it's thrilling to see them switch things up to focus on how dangerous & idiotic Zuckerberg has become. I'm certainly looking forward to this - seems like it will rattle some cages. // Continue Reading ›

First Trailer for Kiwi Comedy 'I, Object' About a Boy Talking to Objects
"Whatever happens, you always have us." Umbrella Entertainment has unveiled the official Kiwi trailer for I, Object, a coming-of-age indie drama from New Zealand opening this winter down there. It's opening in July but it doesn't have any US release set yet - hopefully sometime not too long after this opening. I, Object is written and directed by acclaimed sci-fi filmmaker Andrew Niccol, director of Gattaca, S1m0ne, Lord of War, In Time, The Host, Good Kill, and Anon – his latest film from back in 2018. This heartfelt film follows Tom, a 10-year-old boy with a vivid imagination who sees faces in everyday objects. After the sudden death of his father, Tom retreats into a fantastical world they once shared, connecting with all these items around him! Starring Bentley Storteboom as Tom, with Skywalker Hughes, Anna Faris, Tom Kerr, & Karl Urban. This also reminds me of that IF: Imaginary Friends movie with a somewhat similar concept about a kid finding comfort in befriending all these objects. It's set for release in both Japan and in US theaters sometime later in 2026 - no final date confirmed yet. Supernatural Horror Thriller Film 'Lockbox' Trailer with Carla Gugino
"Perhaps Winthrop was trying to stop something that can't be stopped..." Evil Wants Out. 😱 And into your nearest movie theater! Aura Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for a horror thriller movie titled Lockbox, formerly titled Winthrop, arriving to watch in limited US theaters starting in July this summer. This chilling new supernatural horror follows a woman and her strange cousin who might be possessed by something scary. What's wrong with Winthrop? A woman puts everything on the line in her rural town to defend her enigmatic cousin from a dangerous otherworldly entity determined to track him down. Starring Carla Gugino, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Katharine Isabella. A better intro: "Lockbox captures the eerie dread that makes 'Knifepoint Horror' such a success. Carla Gugino is a perfect fit for the film, bringing a rare intensity and subtlety that aligns perfectly with the silent horror of Lockbox. Beneath the supernatural tension, the film explores how generational trauma festers and twists over time. It's horror with weight, and it stays with you..." Millie Bobby Brown & Louis Partridge in 'Enola Holmes 3' Full Trailer
"Can I love him without losing myself?" Good question. Netflix has unveiled their official trailer for Enola Holmes 3, the next sequel in the Enola Holmes series of whodunit mystery adventure movies, starring Millie Bobby Brown as the teenage sister of the already famous Victorian-era detective Sherlock Holmes. Ready to watch online starting in July. The first Enola Holmes premiered in 2020 on Netflix and apparently they've become such a huge hit, that Netflix is making more and more of them. After Enola Holmes 2 in 2022, this next sequel is ready to go. Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled & treacherous than any she has faced before. They set this on Malta because it's a famous place to save money filming nowadays since it's a European tax haven. Apparently this one also involves Enola getting married to Tewkesbury, her love interest introduced in the second film, who is a member of the House of Lords. Millie Bobby Brown returns as Enola, with Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, plus Himesh Patel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Susan Wokoma, Henry Cavill back as Sherlock & Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria. As Walt is pulled back into a world he escaped, he realizes his toughest fight was never in the ring. Starring André Holland, Wendell Pierce, Samira Wiley, Anthony B. Jenkins, Toussaint Francois Battiste, & Mykelti Williamson. Director Sheldon Candis explains: "They Fight is my love letter to one of my all-time favorite directors John G. Avildsen. Get the Scooby Snacks ready! Netflix has revealed a first look teaser trailer for their new live-action version of Scooby-Doo, a new streaming series titled Scooby-Doo: Origins. This has already been filming down in Atlanta since April this year and won't be ready for debut on Netflix until sometime in 2027 next year. Netflix's official intro for it: "For more than 50 years, Scooby-Doo has been a pop-culture powerhouse. The franchise has spawned three theatrical films, more than a dozen animated series, and nearly 40 animated home entertainment movies. But Scooby-Doo: Origins marks the first time Scooby-Doo will appear as a real dog. Can we get a round of a-paws for the new pup?" The full cast includes Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley, Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones, plus Paul Walter Hauser in a key role, and Frank Welker as the voice of Scooby-Doo – the talking Great Dane puppy. Full Trailer for 'Mockbuster' Doc - Making a B-Movie for The Asylum
"Are you panicked yet?" Giant Pictures has revealed their full official trailer for a documentary film called Mockbuster, a clever meta comedy from Australian filmmaker Anthony Frith. This is not a faux doc, it's a real doc film about the infamous studio known as The Asylum. A look at what it's actually like to make a bonafide B-movie. Formed in 1997, The Asylum has been creating rip-off B-movie blockbusters for decades (called "mockbusters") and releasing them to fans who want to watch this unabashed junk and laugh their butts off. Mockbuster is a comedic, behind-the-scenes documentary of the making of Anthony Frith's own dinosaur film The Land That Time Forgot for The Aslyum, which made in 6 days in Adelaide. "Throughout the film shoot, Frith navigates the gloriously chaotic orbit of Asylum producer Brendan Petrizzo and studio founders David Rimawi, David Latt, and Paul Bales as he attempts to keep a prehistoric adventure afloat amid rubber dinosaurs, last-minute rewrites, and caffeinated panic." The doc will be out to watch this July. It's an amusing B-movie version of Megadoc, taking us into the wacky world of making (bad) movies. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›

One More Rad Story Trailer for 'Star Wars: Galactic Racer' Video Game
"Racers don't go head to head against Sebulba – legends do." Buckle up! Fuse Games has launched another official trailer for the Star Wars: Galactic Racer video game, ready to play in October later this year. Sometimes we break our rules and post trailers for video games - and this game continues to look awesome. Growing up, I was a huge fan of the N64 game Star Wars Episode I: Racer, featuring pod racing from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (both released the same year in 1999). I'm ready to play this next! Galactic Racer is a runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy. The campaign is set in the New Republic Era and takes place on the desert planet Jakku as seen in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With the Empire now gone and the galaxy rebuilding, The Galactic League is formed: an underground, unsanctioned circuit where syndicates bankroll chaos and new champions are forged. We featured the original debut trailer late last year. This latest promo is a look at the story mode in this, involving the racer Sebulba and others competing for podracing glory. Fun Trailer for 'Kiri and Lou Go Raaa!' New Zealand Stop-Motion Film
"Together they're the perfect storm." Cartoon Brew has unveiled the fun first trailer for the indie animated film titled Kiri and Lou Go Raaa!, a stop-motion adventure movie about two dinosaur friends made for kids to enjoy. It's a feature version of the original series created in 2019 called "Kiri and Lou". The film is premiering at the 2026 Annecy Film Festival for Animation in France this month, which is why this trailer is out now. Kiri and Lou Go Raaa! is New Zealand's first stop-motion animated feature, with animation work by artist Antony Elworthy, shooting 2.5D clay models on glass. The prequel to the kids' series explores how the beloved dinosaur duo first became best friends, with voices by Jemaine Clement as Lou and Olivia Tennet as Kiri (and voiceover by Rachel House). You can read a nice interview with co-directors Harry Sinclair & Antony Elworthy at Cartoon Brew. Indie Comedy 'Let's Love' Trailer with Freeman, Akerman, Hutcherson
"It's us, you know, it's always been us." Cineverse has unveiled their official trailer for a romantic comedy called Let's Love, arriving to watch on VOD next week. Despite the impressive cast in here, this is getting dumped on VOD right way and looks like a fairly lackluster meta comedy creation. In Let's Love, the cast and filmmakers of a hit romance film (titled Don't Delete the Kisses) reunite for a fan event that is then cancelled. As they spend a weekend revisiting filming locations, nostalgia gives way to unresolved feelings, conflicts, and ambitions. Ten years after a breakout hit film, screenwriter Nigel, director Andrea, and actors Jackson and Jess reunite in Wales for a fan convention that might revive their careers – until it doesn't. "A sharply self-aware reunion comedy, this film hilariously skewers fame, fandom, and second chances as four former breakout stars descend on Wales chasing relevance — and find far more chaos than a comeback." It stars Martin Freeman, Malin Akerman, Josh Hutcherson, & Jess Weixler (from Teeth). This looks like it has some clever moments in how it makes fun of romcoms and how realistic they can often times be. // Continue Reading ›

Go Back to High School in 'Never Change!' Hulu Comedy Movie Trailer
"I've changed." "People never change!" Hulu has revealed the official trailer for a comedy film titled Never Change!, arriving to watch streaming on Hulu and Disney+ this month. Instead of a new series with many new episodes, this film is a one-off, 98 minute comedy to enjoy anytime. Made by comedy filmmaker Marty Schousboe as another kooky nostalgia concept. Former high school seniors reunite in their 30s to complete their education after a tornado abruptly ended their final year in 2008. As they return to the halls of North Meadows High, past relationships reignite and hidden truths surface. This kind of looks like what if The Breakfast Club group had to go back to high school to finish their studies even though they're all grown ups now. Fun times. The full cast features John Reynolds, Sofia Black-D'Elia, Carmen Christopher, Jo Firestone, and Gary Richardson; with Rudy Pankow, Topher Grace, Jackie Cruz, Ana Gasteyer, Patti Harrison, and Zach Cherry. Check This Out: 'The Odyssey' Popcorn Bucket is a Big IMAX Camera
"Lights...camera...popcorn!" 🍿🎥 They actually did it! IMAX just revealed their own special popcorn bucket offering for The Odyssey and it's an actual IMAX camera as a popcorn holder. Hilarious! As everyone knows, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is the first ever movie filmed entirely with IMAX cameras, which Nolan has been trying to do ever since The Dark Knight. They even invented new cameras for this project - the first is the state-of-the-art "Keighley" camera (named after one of its inventors) along with the massive filming "blimp" to put the camera inside of (to cover up loud noises IMAX film strips make while recording). "Now you can crunch in style with the limited-edition IMAX Film Camera Popcorn Bucket inspired by the legendary IMAX 15/65mm Camera, the very camera Christopher Nolan has called 'the Gold Standard' and used on films such as The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Oppenheimer, and The Odyssey. A tribute to IMAX's groundbreaking film technology & the craft of filmmaking, this collectible bucket features a viewfinder that lights up to reveal a scene from Nolan's latest epic, The Odyssey, in IMAX's exclusive 1.43:1 Expanded Aspect Ratio." I'm personally not a big fan of the popcorn bucket trend, it's mostly just plastic waste as a marketing gimmick. But I'll admit this is cool. Super clever to go with this instead of just a helmet or sword. // Continue Reading ›

Another International Trailer for 'Pressure' WWII Film About Weather
"If D-Day is cancelled, we will lose this war..." Studiocanal has revealed one final international trailer for the World War II movie titled Pressure, which is already playing in US theaters right now. Strangely it will open in the UK later in the year in September (some 4 months later after the US launch). The film tells the tense story of deciding to go forward with D-Day on June 6th, 1944 sending troops into Northwest France. In the final days before the planned Allied invasion of Europe in 1944, Royal Air Force meteorologist Cpt. James Stagg must deliver a weather report to the Allied high command on the feasibility of the planned D-Day. The weather needs to be perfect or else. This war film thriller stars Brendan Fraser as Eisenhower, Andrew Scott as Cpt. James Stagg, Kerry Condon as Cpt. Kay Summersby, Damian Lewis as Marshall Bernard Montgomery, Chris Messina as Irving P. Krick, Henry Ashton as John Eisenhower, with Con O'Neill, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Toby Williams, and Max Croes. We've posted a handful of trailers for this movie already. Fun Second Trailer for 'The Invite' Film w/ Rogen, Wilde, Cruz, Norton
"We only get a few chances for meaningful relationships in life." A24 has debuted a second trailer for The Invite, an amusing comedy-drama directed by actress Olivia Wilde – her third film after Booksmart and Don't Worry Darling. This originally premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year where it picked up some rave reviews (here's mine). It's a comedy but it's also more of a dramedy once it really gets into things and they start honestly discussing relationships & sex and what works & what doesn't. Joe and Angela's marriage is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places. Set entirely in one apartment it follows these two couples through a night they'll both never forget. Starring Seth Rogen & Olivia Wilde as Joe & Angela and Penélope Cruz & Edward Norton as Pína & Hawk. Opening in theaters this June to start with a wide release in July.
