No wayyyy!! 🌞 A24 has unveiled a teaser trailer for a new series called The Curse, a strange "genre-bending" creation straight from the mad genius minds of Nathan Fielder and filmmaker Benny Safdie (one half of the Safdie Brothers). It's set to premiere at the New York Film Festival in October, hence this first teaser arriving before it unveils. The Curse is a scripted comedy that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their problematic new HGTV show. Starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, and Benny Safdie. NYFF adds this juicy tease: "From this premise, which nimbly touches upon inescapable American issues of race, class, and capital, Fielder and Safdie branch out into an increasingly tangled network of ethical and moral gray zones, expertly balancing the tender and the merciless."
