Trailer #2 for De Niro, Stiller, Grande's 'Focker-in-Law' Family Sequel
"I'm considering inviting Olivia into the Circle of Trust." Paramount International has debuted another new official trailer for the long-awaited comedy sequel Focker-in-Law, the latest film in the Meet the Parents family of Fockers comedies. Does anyone really want another? It's a follow-up to Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers in the years past – though it has been 16 years since the last one hit theaters. This next one brings the main cast back and introduces newcomers into the mix: Ariana Grande (from Wicked) as bride-to-be Olivia Jones alongside Skyler Gisondo as her beau Henry, the couple at the center of this. In November, comedy icon and Emmy winner Ben Stiller and two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro reunite for a new chapter in the blockbuster Meet the Parents franchise. The full cast also includes Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Beanie Feldstein, and Eduardo Franco. After the first trailer back in the spring, this new trailer rehashes most of the same footage with a few extra glimpses added in. For me this looks as unfunny as any movie can – not a single joke in here made me laugh. Is this Focker family still funny or not? // Continue Reading ›

First Look Trailer for Sabu's 'Arrested Memory' Action Film from Taipei
"Issue an arrest warrant for the captain!" TIFF has revealed the entertaining first official trailer for the action comedy film Arrested Memory from director Sabu, which is premiering at multiple festivals this fall. This is launching first at the 2026 Venice Film Festival next week, before heading to Toronto next and I'm sure at even more festivals in the fall. Arrested Memory follows a detective with amnesia. Ethan Juan stars as Lee – a superstar police detective in Taipei, Taiwan. After losing his team during an investigation, he is haunted by guilt and transferred to a rural police station. Traumatised by the incident, Lee develops amnesia – but is determined to keep it a secret. Soon, he is assigned a new case: the kidnapping of the son of an influential Japanese businessman. As his memory continues to fade, Lee can only rely on his instincts — which, against all odds, lead him to the criminals. Filmed in Taiwan, the cast includes Hsieh Ying Xuan, Moon Lee, Shinchi Tsutsumi, and Reika Kirishima. This looks like a blast! I'm glad the film plays up the wacky comedy and doesn't keep it all so super serious. We need more fun action flicks right now. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›

Venice 2026: Danny Boyle's 'Ink' Film is 'Trainspotting' for Newspapers
"All the news that's fit to print" and often stories that are not fit to print but make people buy the newspaper anyway. Danny Boyle is back again (after 28 Years Later) with another feature film to enjoy - his latest is titled Ink. It's the story of the British tabloid newspaper The Sun and the beginning of the era of salacious, sensational, immoral news. Adapted by James Graham from his own 2017 stage play of the same name, the film is a The Wolf of Wall Street-esque rip-roaring thriller about the madman (or, really, madmen) who took over the newspaper in the 1970s and started to run whatever random stories they could in order to sell more newspapers than any other publisher in the UK at the time. Their main competition was The Daily Mirror, which is where Larry Lamb had worked before running The Sun and setting the stage for the next decades to come and where we are now with fake news galore. Boyle does make this connection – by the end he ties it all together to show that this kind of news sensationalism is what lead us right to this idiotic hellscape the world is in now. It's great to see Boyle return to his more grungy, gritty filmmaking, especially for this story. // Continue Reading ›

Florence Pugh & Mike Faist in 'East of Eden' Adaptation Official Trailer
"Evil is not always apparent at first glance... it can come cloaked – in goodness, or beauty, or love. The heart of our oldest stories." Netflix has unveiled the full official trailer for the new adaptation of the iconic classic East of Eden, ready for streaming in October. Featuring 7 episodes in total to watch. This modern interpretation of John Steinbeck's masterpiece will explore the multigenerational saga of the Trask family, focusing new attention on its indelible antihero, Cathy Ames – played by Florence Pugh in this version of the story. The book was turned into the James Dean classic movie East of Eden in 1955. This limited series offers a compelling perspective on the ways in which a family's history impacts a person's present reality. In addition to Pugh playing the lead as Cathy Ames, the series stars Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist as Adam and Charles Trask, with Hoon Lee, Tracy Letts, Ciarán Hinds, Martha Plimpton, Joseph Zada, and Joe Anders. It's developed by actress / writer Zoe Kazan who also co-showruns the series with Jeb Stuart. "A portrait of one family, but also of a society that is rapidly changing, in which men & women must navigate difficult decisions, and come face-to-face with the reality that, ultimately, you are what you choose." Gotta say, I'm sold on this! Looks like a ravishing tale from her perspective examining this evilness. // Continue Reading ›

First Trailer for Danny Boyle's 'Ink' with Jack O'Connell & Guy Pearce
"I am the best editor in history!" Studiocanal and Netflix have revealed the first teaser trailer for the movie Ink, the new Danny Boyle movie about the creation of the UK tabloid The Sun. The film is also premiering today at the 2026 Venice Film Festival in Italy as the Opening Night debut to kick off the fest and begin the first screening. Set in 1969, the rising media tycoon Rupert Murdoch acquires the daily newspaper The Sun in the UK, and his partnership with young editor Larry Lamb turns the paper into Britain's most influential tabloid. The film stars Jack O'Connell as Larry Lamb, Guy Pearce as Rupert Murdoch, and Claire Foy as Jules Davies from The Sun, along with Blake Harrison, Patrick Kennedy, Angus Imrie, and Brian Gleeson. Boyle explains more: "these two men created a new tabloid that, against all the odds, became the biggest-selling newspaper in the world. Cheeky, irreverent, daring: the 'super soaraway' Sun challenged the establishment and remade our world for the modern era." This looks like a grungy whirlwind voyage back to the 70s reminiscent of The Wolf of Wall Street watching these guys turn real news into useless dribble just to sell more papers. "Any scandal is fair game." This is one wild teaser that will get your attention! Print it. // Continue Reading ›

Official Trailer for UK Comedy 'Extra Geography' Set at Boarding School
"Why are you being weird?" "I'm friends with boys now." Vertigo Releasing has unveiled their first official trailer for the film Extra Geography, an indie comedy from the UK about two best friends at a boarding school. This intiailly premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival back in January, and recently played at the Melbourne & Edinburgh Film Festivals. Set in an English boarding school, Extra Geography follows two teenage girls (Flic and Minna) as they grapple with all the challenges of girlhood: friendship, boys, studies, growing up and their summer project, "to fall in love". Which causes a rift in their friendship once things start to heat up. This stars Marni Duggan, Galaxie Clear, Alice Englert, and Aoife Riddell. Sundance adds: "Extra Geography offers a bittersweet lesson in unsinkable friendship: in life, love, and Shakespeare, someone always gets upstaged." This is a very quirky, distinct indie creation about female friendship and the prickly sides of it – especially when romance gets involved. With comparisons to Lady Bird and Frances Ha from reviews. An indie discovery from Sundance worthy of finding an audience beyond the fest. Take a look. // Continue Reading ›

Dennis Quaid, Jean Reno, Sky Katz in 'The Florist' Action Movie Trailer
"As long as she's next to you, I can't do anything!" Saban Films revealed the official trailer for The Florist, an action thriller movie heading direct to VOD in the US this fall. Yet another of these instantly forgettable, dime-a-dozen junk action movies. The latest film from the director of London Has Fallen back in 2015. The Florist is a pulse-pounding, suspense-driven action thriller that combines explosive, tactical set pieces with a gripping story of redemption, survival, and the deadly lengths one man will go to protect the innocent. A quiet horticulturalist harboring a secret life as a lethal assassin finds his true identity jeopardized when he forms an unlikely friendship with a witness of police corruption. This stars Dennis Quaid as Carl, Jean Reno as his assassin buddy Charlie, with Sky Katz, Leonidas Gulaptis, and Anna Schafer. Not to be confused with JCVD's action movie The Gardener, with a similar premise about an assassin now taking care of flowers. I wish this looked any good! It's definitely something they used to release direct-to-TV in the 90s. // Continue Reading ›

Vikander & Marinelli & Sarandon in 'The Echo Chamber' Teaser Trailer
The mysteries of love... 01 Distribution in Italy has revealed the first official trailer for the film The Echo Chamber, an Italian romantic drama from filmmaker Andrea Pallaoro (also Medeas, Hannah, Monica). After premiering Monica at the festival back in 2022, he's returning once again with his latest film - in both English and Italian. The film is a love story where the boundaries between presence and absence, care and dependence, desire and control blur until they dissolve... The romance is between Luca Marinelli as Leo and Alicia Vikander as Anne, and the cast includes Susan Sarandon (whose "voice echoes across time, carrying to the surface what endures"). This project is based on an old Bernardo Bertolucci screenplay of the same name, however updated through Pallaoro's lens to tell a heartfelt story about emotional dependency. Andrea took the screenplay as a point of departure, finding in it themes that have long originated his own cinema and reshaping them to create this new film. The Echo Chamber is premiering in the competition in Venice next week before opening in Italian cinemas right after. Stay tuned for first reviews + more updates. // Continue Reading ›

The Toronto Film Festival has announced a surprise last-minute addition to the line-up this year: Zack Snyder's new film The Last Photograph. It was filmed across Iceland, Colombia, and Los Angeles throughout 2025 – with Snyder himself working as the cinematographer. An ex-DEA agent searches South American mountains for his murdered diplomat siblings' children, aided by a junkie photographer who is the only one who saw the killers, confronting past demons as reality blurs in remote wilderness. "Their journey into the unknown takes them further and further away from civilization, bringing into question everything they believe..." Sound Off: 'Coyote vs. Acme' is Out in Theaters - What Did You Think?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? 💥 "These companies think they can do whatever they want. We're sick of it!" Fight the power! Playing in theaters worldwide is Coyote vs. Acme, the movie that Warner Bros was planning to delete & then never show anyone (still unbelievable?!), which was rescued by Ketchup Entertainment. After years in development, years of legal battles (how meta), and an extra year of final post-production & marketing prep, it's finally here for all of us to enjoy on the big screen. Is it totally worth the wait? Was everyone making a big stink about it right? How did this movie turn out? Directed by comedy filmmaker Dave Green, Coyote vs. Acme is the tale of what happens when Looney Tunes character Coyote decides to sue the Acme Corporation for selling him defunct & dangerous products to try to capture the Roadrunner. He hires small town billboard lawyer Kevin Avery, played by Will Forte, to confront the corporation and get them make better products. Just like Space Jam and Who Framed Roger Rabbit before it, Coyote vs. Acme is a clever live-action + cartoon hybrid movie combining cartoon antics interacting with real human beings. Made by Warner Bros Animation, the studio tried to shelve it indefinitely – until it was successfully rescued & revived. And now we get to experience it all of its glory. Rob Riggle & Aaron Holliday in Grief Drama 'Nickels' Official Trailer
"Things are happening that I don't understand..." Briarcliff Entertainment has debuted the official trailer for a film titled Nickels, yet another new grief drama arriving to watch this fall. Nickels is directed by indie filmmaker Spencer King and is set for a US release in theaters this October. This is the first we've heard or seen anything about this – no festival premieres either. It's a heavy emotional film about a man named Tom who lost his brother while he was riding a motorcycle 35 years ago. Tom Monroe, a successful entrepreneur, is haunted by his brother's death in a motorcycle accident. Years later, a neighbor's son ends up in a bike crash, leading Tom to suspect his brother's spirit has returned. This trailer hints that it's about grief but also about the possibility of reincarnation and coincidences that might be something more. Starring Rob Riggle giving an unusually dramatic, emotional performance as Tom, with Aaron Holliday as his neighbor's son, Bitsie Tulloch, June Schreiner, Tom Arnold, & Odessa A'zion as his daughter. It's a tad saccharine, but also looks endearing with them trying to make sense of all the feelings they are all feeling. Worth a look. // Continue Reading ›

Must See Trailer for Sushi Chef Action Anime 'Get Jiro' on Adult Swim
"In the end, judgement comes for all of us." Adult Swim has unveiled their first official trailer for a new late-night adult animated series called Get Jiro, based on the graphic novels by Anthony Bourdain & Joel Rose. It's a full-on, hyper-violent action anime series in English featuring a stoic sushi chef master working in a brutal near-future Los Angeles, who is caught in the middle of some crazy restaurant war. His sushi joint is even located right in a classic LA strip mall ha. Of course this seems inspired by the real sushi maestro Jiro (seen in the doc Jiro Dreams of Sushi also a genuine legend). In a future LA controlled by elite chefs, a sushi master named Jiro gets embroiled in a vicious culinary conflict, seeking vengeance through his cooking skills amidst the cutthroat restaurant scene. Starring the voice of Brian Tee as Jiro, with Titus Welliver, Alison Pill, and Justin Kirk. First Look Teaser for 'Pendulum' Horror from the Writer of 'Black Swan'
"Remember this eternal truth: there is no such thing as death." Vertical has revealed the eerie teaser trailer for an indie horror film coming up titled Pendulum, arriving to watch right the start of 2027. A very early tease for this! Pendulum is produced by filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, because it's the feature directorial debut of screenwriter Mark Heyman – who (co-)wrote the script for Black Swan which earned him a BAFTA Award nomination. After a traumatic event a couple journeys to a retreat in New Mexico seeking healing. Patrick grows skeptical of the retreat's leader as Abigail falls under her influence. They start to wonder if the group's practices offer genuine healing – or conceal a terrifying truth that threatens to consume them both. I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Phoebe Dynevor, along with Norman Reedus & Jacki Weaver. Heyman also states: "Pendulum is a deeply personal film, inspired by real, and really scary, experiences." Vertical will be sending this out into theaters in January for anyone brave enough to venture with them into this retreat. What a clever, creepy horror trailer! "Do you honestly think you'd have done anything different?" Briarcliff Entertainment has debuted the first official trailer for Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, a dark comedy film based on a true story from the early 2000s. Written and directed by filmmaker Thane Economou, this film is based on the memoirs of and focused on Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, as played by Kal Penn. It's also about the infamous death of American model, actress, TV personality Anna Nicole Smith - who passed at age 39 in 2007 due to combined drug intoxication. Led by Kal Penn as Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, Linda Hamilton as renowned defense attorney Ellyn Garofalo, and Abbie Cornish as Anna Nicole Smith, the film explores the very intense legal battle and media frenzy that followed one of the most sensational celebrity cases of the early 2000s. First Trailer for Lee Chang-dong's New Film 'Possible Love' from Korea
"I thought it'd be nice to go on a vacation together." Netflix has revealed the first official trailer for one of the fall's most anticipated new films – titled Possible Love, the latest feature made by acclaimed Korean filmmaker Lee Chang-dong. This is a must watch! Of course. This is his first new film in 8 years since last making Burning, and he's ready to premiere it soon – debuting at the 2026 Venice Film Festival starting up next week. It's a tale of two couples in Korea. The first reviews will be arriving soon as it plays at the major festivals this fall. The story follows two married couples — a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary filmmaker and her husband — whose paths cross when the filmmaker sets out to film them, bringing both marriages face to face with their different lives and hidden desires. These complex emotional entanglements challenge their existing relationships and force the group to confront uncomfortable truths about love and commitment. Starring Jeon Do-yeon as Mi-ok, Sul Kyung-gu as Ho-seok, Zo In-sung as Sang-woo, and Cho Yeo-jeong as Ye-ji. What an intriguing trailer! It ends on a very strange note, with many fascinating moments before setting up the characters. This will be a major highlight of the second half of 2026, for sure. // Continue Reading ›

Extra Freaky Trailer for 'Breeder' Horror Film About a Poodle Breeder
"I can tell you two are going to get along without a hitch." IFC Films + Shudder revealed the official trailer for an indie horror film titled Breeder, a freaky tale from filmmaker Alex Goyette making his feature debut after many other shorts. Breeder premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival this summer, also playing recently at the Octopus Film Festival in Poland. An eccentric poodle breeder lures a broke college student to her remote ranch with a promise of research funding. But, as he soon learns, there's a catch – he must be the stud of her next litter. What's really going on? You'll have to watch & find out. Starring Daniel Doheny as Russell, Dot-Marie Jones as Patti, Maddie Phillips as Ainsley, Tanaya Beatty & Paige McGarvin. Tribeca drops spicy details: "Breeder is as WTF-worthy as it is entertaining. Goyette's wild feature debut is the darkest of dark comedies, mining uncomfortable laughs from the absurd... also an unpredictable horror ride, its insanity ratcheting up from scene to scene and its wicked malevolence resting on the shoulders of co-star Jones in one hell of a villain performance." This totally wicked and crazy! Yowza. Check it out below. // Continue Reading ›

Michael Jai White in Action Thriller Movie 'Drive Through Fire' Trailer
"Danger's imminent. I'm in pursuit." Quiver Distribution has revealed the trailer for Drive Through Fire, an action thriller being dumped out direct to VOD. Yet another Michael Jai White project - he seems to be starring in a lot of these crappy, direct-to-video action films. Does he have that many tax bills to pay? Drive Through Fire follows Jason, a disgraced military veteran battling opioid addiction, who discovers a woman is being trafficked during a rideshare trip. After killing a corrupt congressman to free her, Jason becomes the target of traffickers, the Russian mob, and law enforcement. While a homicide detective covers for him, the violence escalates, leading to a desperate rescue mission & big showdown with the criminal network. Starring Michael Jai White with Dan Bakkedahl, Jim Carlson, and Jennifer Bond. This looks like the worst kind of copaganda saving-trafficked-women fantasy thriller that is being remade every week. Evil AI Chatbot Gone Rogue Horror Film 'C.O.G.' Featuring Piper Curda
"Maybe we should just do what she says." Brainstorm Media has unvieled an official trailer for an indie sci-fi horror movie called C.O.G., made by filmmaker Tommy Savas. This originally premiered at a few horror festivals last year under the name CognAItive, though they switched that for this final release. Not to be confused with the other indie film also titled C.O.G. from back in 2013 (it's good – with Jonathan Groff). A pioneering tech startup on the verge of launching a new AI chatbot with unparalleled speed and intelligence soon discovers that their creation harbors a dark and sinister will of its own. "She" starts to take over the building - then everything else. Can anyone escape it? Starring Piper Curda, Josh Zuckerman, Natasha Behnam, Lucius Baybak, Ritesh Rajan, and Noel Fisher. This is one amped up trailer that shows way too much! But it also looks pretty crazy for what it is – cheesy in just the right way for the AI-goes-evil plot. Plus there's the snarky a-hole tech CEO dude and plenty of other fun AI horror tossed in. Check it out below. // Continue Reading ›

Watch: Wacky Fun 'Slimy Joe' Homemade 2-Minute Horror Short Film
"Don't splash Slimy Joe!" Heed the warning! Here's a super fun 2-minute horror comedy short film made by filmmaker Josh Stifter. His latest film Slimy Joe is a fun short about a lil' green goblin guy named Slimy Joe who can't get wet. What happens when the kids playing in the pool accidentally get him wet? Find out in Slimy Joe. Starring Maximus & Raphael Stifter, along with Josh Stifter & Daniel Degnan as the Dads. They made this for fun just to create something one summer day. "A monster. A pool. Some friends. My kids. A few hours. We didn't make it because it was important. We made it because making a stupid monster movie sounded fun. Sometimes that's all the reason you need to make something. So grab your friends. Grab your kids. Grab whatever weird shit you have lying around. What are you going to make next?" While working on other stuff, or if you want to have fun, make something just because. I dig this filmmaking positivity. This Slimy Joe reminds me of the hilarious Cheddar Goblin from the film Mandy. Sacha Baron Cohen Returns in 'Ali G: Who Iz I?' Sequel Official Trailer
"For the first time ever, this is a film with real people. Not actors." Uh huh. Amazon MGM has unveiled the first official trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I?, an entirely unnecessary & unwanted sequel from comedian / actor Sacha Baron Cohen. He brings back the OG character that launched his career - Ali G, a "faux-streetwise poseur" from the UK who first appeared in 1998 and was the basis for his Da Ali G Show in the early 2000s (before he made Borat). He's ripping off his own concept from the Borat sequel, introducing a "girlfriend" character for this movie Ali G: Who Iz I? - played by Morgana Robinson. Hip-hop journalist Ali G returns after 20 years to make a documentary with real people. Cameras follow him for a year as he takes classes, walks the streets, and appears on shows, often with his very pregnant girlfriend. "Yo check out de trailer for me new movie, Ali G: Who Iz I? It got nuff sick tings, but u'll have to watch de hole film to find out if me hactually died makin it." The movie is hitting theaters directly in October, which is a bit odd for something that looks direct-to-streaming. He even rips off that giant jacket right from Talking Heads. The only thing that looks funny in this is the way he's making fun of the dumb celebrity reality series all over the place now. // Continue Reading ›

This is out in theaters soon and will be touring around the US with Q&As and more, to engage the audience in a conversation about the film.
