First Teaser Trailer for 'Blue Eye Samurai' Animation Series from Netflix

"This doesn't end, until you die!" Netflix has revealed a teaser for a bloody animated series called Blue Eye Samurai, from co-creators Amber Noizumi & Michael Green (writer of Logan & Blade Runner 2049). It's described as "unapologetically adults-only... from tragic to poetic to barbaric and occasionally erotic." Set in 1633 Japan during the Edo period, the series stars Maya Erskine as Mizu, a hardened fighter. She knows there were only four white men in Japan at the time of her birth and sets off to kill these men, one of whom might be her father, who made her a "creature of shame." But revenge is not an option for women, so Mizu must forge her revenge quest while hiding her gender as well as her blue eyes. Mizu is joined on her journey by Ringo, a soba maker who dreams of greatness, and Taigen, a pompous samurai whose rivalry leads to an uneasy truce. The voice cast includes George Takei, Masi Oka, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, Randall Park, and Kenneth Branagh; with special guests Stephanie Hsu, Ming-Na Wen, and Harry Shum Jr. Uh yeah this looks awesome!!
