"Do you really want to leave her here alone, day after day?" Amazon Studios + MGM have unveiled the first official trailer for Foe, a new romantic drama from acclaimed filmmaker Garth Davis (of of the films Lion and Mary Magdalene before this). It's currently set to premiere at the New York Film Festival, and could also show up at the Telluride Film Festival this fall, before opening in theaters this October. "Some people are made for each other." Set in 2065, Hen and Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior's family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger shows up at their door with a startling, inexplicable proposal. This stars Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, and Aaron Pierre. This trailer doesn't hold back on introducing the sci-fi side of this film, set in the future one of them is being asked to join a space voyage - so they'll create a robot replica of the other to stay with them on Earth.
