The latter was the site for the testing of 928 large-scale nuclear weapons from 1951 through 1992. Martin Sheen narrates this harrowing exposé of the US's disregard for everyone living... downwind. A harrowing doc that exposes an infamous chapter of American history and the ongoing health consequences for downwinder communities, mostly comprised of Native Americans, Mormons and ranchers. It is the story of a Latino based community in the Tularosa Basin that has global implications for a world grappling with the proliferation of nuclear weapons and a seeming disregard for the true cost of their development, detonation, and disposal.
