"What did you intend to do with her body?" MGM+ has unveiled a first look trailer for their new doc series Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein, arriving for streaming in September. This isn't our first look at the real serial killer Ed Gein, as many other films & docs & series have been made about it. Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein, directed / exec produced by James Buddy Day ("Fall River"), follows the horrifying grave robber and serial killer Ed Gein, otherwise known as "The Plainfield Ghoul" and "The Mad Butcher," whose crimes inspired such iconic films as Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and The Silence of the Lambs. "This gripping and disturbing docu series shines a light on an infamous chapter in our true-crime history," states MGM+. "Psycho takes an in-depth look at not only the life of one of the most notorious serial killers of our time, but also explores the impact his crimes had on both the victims and our culture."
