Kino Lorber has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Radical Wolfe, a compelling profile of the iconic writer / journalist Tom Wolfe. It will be opening in select theaters first in September, in art house cinemas this fall. This looks like a very smart doc! From a beat reporter at the Washington Post, to the leader of the New Journalism movement, Tom was at the forefront of reshaping how American stories are told. Throughout his career, he fused a conservative upbringing in Virginia with a cultural antenna from Yale's American Studies PhD program to write some of the most culturally impactful stories of the 20th century: The Right Stuff, The Bonfire of the Vanities, and A Man in Full. This doc features conversations and interviews with those who knew him best, including Michael Lewis, Jann Wenner, Gay Talese, Lynn Nesbit, Terry McDonell, Tom Junod, Christopher Buckley, Niall Ferguson, and Alexandra Wolfe.
