Ramayana, a religious fantasy adventure inspired by the
Hindu legend of
Rama. This is set to hit theaters
in November during Diwali at the end of this year. From producer Namit Malhotra, acclaimed actor Ranbir Kapoor, and award-winning director Nitesh Tiwari. Ramayana is a two-part film series and represents one of the most ambitious cinematic undertakings ever produced out of India, crafted for a global audience – including a score composed by Oscar-winners
Hans Zimmer and
A.R. Rahman. The story was first written thousands of years ago and influenced countless stories in all mediums ever since. The goal of the 2-part movie is to tell this iconic story via the ambition, scale, emotion and grandiose storytelling of films like
Lords of the Rings,
Avatar,
Gladiator. With
Ranbir Kapoor as Ram - his life, focusing on his exile & victory over the demon king Ravana, is chronicled in the epic
Ramayana story, with his worship celebrated during festivals like Diwali & Ram Navami. Also starring Yash as Ravana,
