Official Trailer for Coming-of-Age Movie 'Mabel' About a Plant Lover

"They are." 🌱 Tribeca Films has debuted a charming official trailer for the film Mabel, an indie coming-of-age creation from filmmaker Nicholas Ma making his feature directorial debut. This originally premiered back in 2024 at the San Francisco Film Fest and has been waiting to be released ever since. Now coming out in limited theaters (NY and LA to start) this month. No one really gets Callie, an awkward pre-teen whose one and only friend, Mabel, is actually a plant. Her teacher, Ms. G introduces her to the controversial world of "plant intelligence" & desperate to impress, Callie builds a secret greenhouse in her backyard. As Callie's obsession grows, she is put at odds with her mother and jeopardizes her first chance at a real friendship.
