Charming Trailer for 'Captain Tsunami' Film - A Comic Book Mystery

"You keep saying this is the ending of your story, but it's the beginning of mine!" Persimmon has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled Captain Tsunami, from director Aaron Sherry making his feature directorial debut. This premiered at the 2025 Dances With Films Festival last year and will be out to watch on VOD at home later this month. When a runaway 12-year-old arrives at his door with a mysterious comic book left by the woman he once loved, a reclusive comic shop owner must confront his own past, and decide whether the story she left behind is fantasy, or the key to saving what remains of their fractured family. The screenplay is written by P.J. Marino, who stars in the film as Glenn, the quiet comic book shop owner. It also stars Madeline McGraw, Craig Frank, Tessa Munro, Archie Kao, & Jeremy Sisto as "Captain Tsunami" himself.
