A24 has unveiled the first official trailer for The Invite, the latest film directed by actress Olivia Wilde – her third so far after Booksmart and Don't Worry Darling. This first premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year where it picked up some rave reviews (here's mine). It's a comedy but it's also more of a dramedy once it really gets into things and they start discussing relationships and what works & what doesn't. Joe and Angela's marriage is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places.
