"I thought 'Big Red' wasn't scared of anything." Ketchup has launched the full official trailer for the new Hellboy: The Crooked Man, after first being unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. This is the second reboot of the Hellboy movies, based on Mike Mignola's comic books, following Guillermo del Toro's version with Ron Perlman, then David Harbour's version in 2019. From filmmaker Brian Taylor (of Crank, "Happy!") comes this brand new Hellboy starring Jack Kesy as the big red guy. In the 1950s, Hellboy and a rookie BPRD agent, stranded in rural Appalachia, discover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local devil with a troubling connection to Hellboy's past: The Crooked Man. This film "promises to captivate audiences with its gripping story and stunning visuals." This stars Kesy as Hellboy, Adeline Rudolph as Bobbie Jo Song, and Jefferson White as Tom Ferrel, along with Leah McNamara, Joseph Marcell, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale. This seems much more like Evil Dead featuring Hellboy than an actual BPRD Hellboy movie, but so be it. Might be dark and creepy and weird and fun? Check it out. // Continue Reading ›
