Casey Affleck & Laurence Fishburne in Sci-Fi Thriller 'Slingshot' Trailer

"The drugs used to induce hibernation can produce side effects." Oh yeah he's losing it. Bleecker Street has revealed the first official trailer for a sci-fi thriller titled Slingshot, set on a spacecraft traveling to Saturn's moon Titan. This film has been on the schedule for a while – opening at the end of August – and I'm glad we finally get a look at some footage from it. Laurence Fishburne stars as Captain Franks, along with Casey Affleck as John, plus a supporting cast including Tomer Capone, David Morrissey, Emily Beecham, Charlotta Lövgren, Mark Ebulué, as well as Nikolett Barabas as the voice of "Odyssey" the spaceship system. An astronaut struggles to maintain his grip on reality aboard a possibly compromised mission to Titan. The title refers to a space travel maneuver (using gravity to "slingshot" them) that will either catapult them to Titan or send them into deep space forever. Exciting!
