Get a look at this new Japanese streaming series kicking ass this fall. Prime Video has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for a live-action adaptation of the video game series Yakuza made by SEGA. The new series is called Like A Dragon: Yakuza, fipping around the original game title Yakuza: Like A Dragon. They setup the premise: intense characters like Kazuma Kiryu navigate modern Japan's underbelly. The dramatic series explores their lives and criminal underworld ties. The latest Yakuza video game is based around a character named Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking grunt within a yakuza family in Tokyo, who's facing an 18-year prison sentence after taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit, becoming an unlikely hero for the city's outcasts on his journey. The Japanese action thriller series stars Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu, Kento Kaku as Akira Nishikiyama, and Munetaka Aoki. This first teaser comes direct from San Diego Comic-Con and doesn't show too much just yet, only a few clips of footage so far and a close-up of a tattoo needle. Fire it up. // Continue Reading ›
