Abramorama has unveiled the official trailer for a documentary film called Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision, a look back at a specific time in music history. This is opening in NYC at The Quad cinema starting in early August, before it plays in more theaters worldwide. The doc film chronicles the creation of Electric Lady Studios, a groundbreaking New York recording studio where icons like John Lennon, The Clash, AC/DC, Chic, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé have recorded, showcasing Hendrix's enduring impact on an ever-evolving music industry. Rising from the rubble of a bankrupt Manhattan nightclub to becoming a state-of-the-art recording facility inspired by Hendrix’s desire for a permanent studio. The film includes some never-before-seen footage, along with track breakdowns of Hendrix classics like "Freedom," "Angel", "Dolly Dagger" by recording engineer Eddie Kramer.
