"It's gonna take a radical miracle to beat this guy." Utopia & Fathom Entertainment have unveiled a quick new trailer to promote the upcoming 40th Anniversary screenings of 1980s cult classic Rad - the BMX bike movie that opened way back in 1986. Utopia already re-released a vibrant 4K restoration of this movie back in 2020 (here's that trailer) - you can find it on Blu-ray now. Rad has since gone on to become a beloved cult classic, not only because it has a killer soundtrack and impressive stunts, but because it so perfectly captures the vibe of the 80s. And it's one of the only BMX movies ever made that treats the sport with respect. Of course. The movie also has its own Instagram & Facebook. "Rad turning 40 and heading back to theaters nationwide? What more can I say besides... it's gonna be RAD. Remember there's always room for one more on the RAD racing team for another victory lap with the cult classic that never stopped racing." Remastered in 4K, the cult classic film stars Bill Allen (Cru Jones), Lori Loughlin (Christian Hollings), Talia Shire (Mrs. Jones), Jack Weston (Duke Best), Ray Walston (Burton Timmer), and 1984 Olympic gymnastics champ Bart Connor (Bart Taylor). Also features a sneak peek of the doc Effortless: The Eddie Fiola Story during the screenings in March around the nation. Have a blast revisiting this 80s film & grab your tickets. // Continue Reading ›
