"Who the hell are you?" "Me. I'm a hunter." Does anyone care about this? Sony has debuted a promo video featuring the first 8-minutes of the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie, opening in theaters nationwide in two weeks. This anti-hero, R-rated Sony comic book adaptation is based on the Marvel character, inspired by the Russian hunter from The Most Dangerous Game story. Still looks so bad. Kraven was originally as a renowned big-game hunter whose goal in life is to beat Spider-Man to prove himself as the world's greatest hunter. In this adaptation, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff - who is on a mission to prove that he is the greatest hunter in the world. The full cast includes Russell Crowe as his dad, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola as The Rhino, Fred Hechinger as Chameleon. They've been delaying this and reworking it hoping it'll be better, but it's aiming for a disastrous flop opening. And releasing this extremely boring first 8 minutes is clearly a desperate move which they're hoping will drum up some interest.
