"Every move we make is under the microscope. We are kicking the hornet's nest." Prime Video has revealed an official trailer for a new cop series titled On Call, set for a streaming debut in January 2025. Somehow, someone thought we needed more shows about cops? The series follows a pair of police officers on patrol as they respond to a new radio call, arriving on the scene to resolve incidents. The series is set in the sunny surf town of Long Beach, California. Starring Troian Bellisario as a veteran officer, Brandon Larracuente as an ambitious rookie officer, Lori Loughlin, Rich Ting, with Eriq La Salle (who also directed four of the episodes as well). "Shot with a mixture of hand-held cameras, bodycam and dash-cam footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community." Yeah this is obviously some copaganda. Unlike the Netflix series Public Disorder that takes a critical look at police problems, this seems to be all about making them look like heroes working in these tough situations. // Continue Reading ›
