"That's 8. Mark it down. Let's continue..." Have you ever looked at a bag of snacks and wondered, how do they come up with the "serving size" count on the nutrition label? There is technically a real answer to this question, but I like the concept in this short much more. Jimmy Boden is a clever short made by a young filmmaker named Chris Pickering. After premiering at the 2023 Slamdance Film Festival and playing at other fests last year, it's available to watch online. An imprisoned government asset, whose sole purpose is determining the serving sizes of snacks, has finally reached his breaking point. "I came up with the idea for Jimmy Boden as I was eating a bag of chips. I looked at the back and noticed the serving size: seven chips. Who ever just eats seven chips?" Indeed.
