Epic Trailer for Animated 'Golden Axe' Series Based on the 80s Game

"We're going to do what we do best – face a series of progressively harder enemies until we have a big final battle with Death Adder." Paramount+ debuted their full trailer for the animated series titled Golden Axe, an 80s throwback fantasy action epic series about a group of warriors. This is a new adaptation of the old SEGA video game called Golden Axe (or Battle Axe), which first premiered in 1989 for the Sega System 16B (eventually in arcades). In a hilarious homage to SEGA's game, Golden Axe the series follows legendary warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead as they reunite to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder, who just won't seem to stay dead. Their quest is flipped by Hampton Squib, an inexperienced & wildly underprepared young adventurer whose dream of heroism far exceeds his abilities. Forced together despite their flaws, they must find a way to stop Death Adder. Featuring the voices of Matthew Rhys as Gilius Thunderhead, Lisa Gilroy as Tyris Flare, Danny Pudi as Hampton Squib, Liam McIntyre as Ax Battler, Carl Tart as Chronos 'Evil' Lait.
