Zany Superman-Hair Comedy 'Forelock' Teaser with David Krumholtz

"Don't worry - they're going to eat him up!" Letterboxd is previewing this indie film for anyone to watch online before it's officially released. Forelock is an indie dark comedy created & written by & directed by & starring actor Caleb Alexander Smith. The film originally premiered at the 2025 Austin Film Festival last year but hasn't been picked up for any release yet. Worth a look anyway. "2 Men. 1 lock of hair. 72 suburbs in search of a city." A fitness enthusiast looks for a fresh start in Los Angeles, but collides with a Hollywood Boulevard grifter who exploits his uncanny resemblance to the world's most famous superhero (Superman) - starring Caleb Alexander Smith in that role as the lookalike. Described as a "a scrappy, darkly funny portrait of the strange economy of being almost-famous in Los Angeles." Featuring David Krumholtz as Randy, portratying "his personal homage to Dustin Hoffman's character in Midnight Cowboy." This is available to watch now via the Letterboxd Video Store as an "unreleased" preview if you want to see this entire film right away.
