Scary Movie, also known as
Scary Movie 6 (or
Scary Movie VI), reviving this spoof comedy franchise that ran for decades. It's a nice return because it's good to see all these recent horror movies spoofed in this funny way! "We're baaaaaack." The very first
Scary Movie debuted in 2000 and the series continued on with sequels in 2001, 2003, 2006, and most recently in 2013 - it has been a full 13 years since the last one. This comedy sequel is a riff on the
recent Scream 7 - the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.
Marlon Wayans,
Shawn Wayans,
Anna Faris, and
Regina Hall reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every "final chapter" that absolutely isn’t final. 😱 Ha ha. The ensemble cast also includes
