Set for a streaming release in May in just a few months from now. Through unlikely bonds formed during night shifts at a local aquarium, Tova, an elderly widow, learns of a life-changing discovery that may bring her joy and wonder once again. "Readers of the book will know that the narrator is not actually human, but rather a giant Pacific octopus named Marcellus who forms an unlikely bond with the cleaning lady at the aquarium where he is housed." Netflix has announced that Alfred Molina is the voice of Marcellus the octopus as heard in this teaser. Remarkably Bright Creatures also stars Sally Field as Tova, Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, and Sofia Black D’Elia. Of course this reminds me of the documentary film My Octopus Teacer about an actual cephalopod friendship. I really want to watch this. // Continue Reading ›
