Netflix has revealed the teaser trailer for a sci-fi film called The Electric State, the next big project from The Russo Brothers after making The Gray Man for Netflix a few years ago. Yes, this is adapted from the spectacular graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag featuring an alternate-world where machines and humans co-exist. Let the robots run free! A teen girl and her robot embark on a cross-country mission in this science fiction action thriller reminiscent of Stranger Things and Black Mirror. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown as Michelle, Chris Pratt as Keats, along with Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman. Plus Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk are providing their voices to the robots. An orphaned teenager traverses the American West with a sweet, but mysterious, robot, and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother. Don't really trust the Russos anymore, but this does look fun with all the big and crazy robots. As a sci-fi geek, I can't help but say I'm curious about it. // Continue Reading ›
