This is premiering at the 2026 Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) this month – ready to rock the cinemas at the festival. This is the third installment in the Bad Lieutenant film series, and a standalone sequel to Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans from 2009. A gambling-addicted Tokyo cop and FBI agent search for a missing politician's daughter, while a mysterious killer lurks in the criminal underworld following their every move. The latest from prolific maestro Takashi Miike – TIFF describes the film as "a sensational ride through the darkest crevasses of the criminal underworld."
