"You really can't help yourself, can you?" Nope! They just had to come back and make another one of these. DreamWorks Animation has revealed the first real teaser trailer fro Shrek 5, a new sequel in the Shrek franchise. This will be released a full 17 years after Shrek Forever After, the fourth movie that opened back in 2010. There hasn't been any other continuation since, unless you count the recent Puss in Boots movies or Shrek on Ice (for real) or whatever random brand concepts they've cooked up. Shrek 5 is the fifth movie in this popular animation series, which began in 2001. The original voice cast returns - Cameron Diaz as Fiona, Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey. With the addition of Zendaya voicing Felicia, Shrek and Fiona's not-so-young-anymore daughter. Plus Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo as Felicia’s brothers, Fergus and Farkle. More than a year ago, they released a quick announcement promo but everyone hated the Shrek redesign so they tried to reconfigure the character looks but not much as changed since then. Though this is why this movie has been delayed by another year – set to hit theaters in summer 2027. Do we really need another legacy sequel?
