Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet will meet in Islamabad on Wednesday (today) with Finance Advisor Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in the chair to fix support price of cotton in order to increase its production.
A five-point agenda has been issued in this regard.
In the meeting, Ministry of National Food Security will give a comprehensive briefing on reserves, supply and demand of wheat.
ECC will also consider imposing duty and taxes on importing cotton to restrict descend in its cost.
The agenda includes reviewing a summary of importing more LNG and running LNG Terminals with absolute proficiency.
Five-point agenda also includes consideration on New Economic Operators Program of the Revenue Division.
