First Teaser for 'Parish' Series feat. Giancarlo Esposito as a Taxi Driver

"I'm tired of being a passenger in my own life!" AMC has revealed a teaser trailer for a thriller series called Parish, arriving for streaming in 2024. It's a US update on the British mini-series The Driver from 2014, with a similar premise. AMC's quick synopsis only introduces it as: "Quit being a passenger in your own life and take back control." The series actually follows a taxi driver whose life is turned upside down when he agrees to pick-up a Zimbabwean gangster known for exploiting many undocumented immigrants at the U.S. southern ports. Giancarlo Esposito stars in this series as "the driver" who decides to get revenge. The full cast also includes Arica Himmel, Paula Malcomson, Ivan Mbakop, Bonnie Mbuli, Zackary Momo, Dax Rey, and Skeet Ulrich. Jenn Wexler's Boarding School Horror Film 'The Sacrifice Game' Trailer

"Christmas Killers strike again." Streaming horror network Shudder has revealed a trailer for indie horror film The Sacrifice Game, made by filmmaker Jenn Wexler. This premiered at the 2023 Fantasia Festival & FrightFest London, along with appearances at Fantastic Fest and the Telluride Horror Show. Available to stream on Shudder this December. Set in the 1970s at the ominously named The Blackvale School for Girls. It's bad enough that boarding school students Samantha and Clara can't go home for the holidays (so The Holdovers as horror?), but things take a deadly turn when a murderous gang arrives on their doorstep - just in time for Christmas. "Do you wish you could un-know me?" Oscilloscope Labs has revealed the official trailer for an indie film titled Sometimes I Think About Dying, produced by and starring Daisy Ridley. This first premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival last year to mixed reviews, with stops at the Fantastic & Cinéfest Sudbury Film Festivals as well. Set in Oregon, the film is about an anxious introvert, played by Daisy Ridley. Fran, who likes to think about dying, makes the new guy at work laugh, which leads to dating and more. Now the only thing standing in their way is Fran herself. Director Rachel Lambert has made a delicately told story of love for the socially awkward and emotionally challenged. The film is made all the more human by its lovely cast, featuring Ridley, Dave Merheje, Parvesh Cheena, Marcia DeBonis, and Bree Elrod. Sometimes I Think About Dying is "an unexpected fable on the virtues of living." Watch: PTA's New Music Video featuring Thom Yorke for 'Wall of Eyes'

The latest Paul Thomas Anderson film is here! Well, not exactly a film, just another music video from the master filmmaker. PTA has directed the video for the song "Wall of Eyes" from the band The Smile. He's obviously involved with The Smile, as it's a new band made up of his friends - Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood along with drummer Tom Skinner. Their new album will be launching in January, and this music video is the first one made to help promote the release. They filmed it just a few weeks ago! The credits on YT state this was shot on location in London at the The Mildmay Club (see Google Maps) in late October. This B&W "Wall of Eyes" music video features Yorke hanging out around this bar staring at the camera and singing. There are also a number of shots that are literally eyes (or an eye) on walls. Of course. Always cool to see PTA making something fun and experimental, trying out some new ideas. Netflix has revealed a first look teaser trailer for the animation series Exploding Kittens, yes it's an adaptation of the card game and comics by the same name. They recently adapted Strange Planet for Apple TV+, next up is this wacky fun series. From the Executive Producers of Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill, and The Office comes a new animated adult comedy series based on the popular card game. The eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth - in the bodies of chunky house cats. The original game's premise: "Bring the catnip. Draw as many cards as you can, and do your best to dodge — or defuse — fatal felines. Or else, boom goes the dynamite!" With the voices of Tom Ellis as God Cat, with David Gborie, Lucy Liu, Mark Proksch, Ally Maki, Sasheer Zamata, and Abraham Lim. I'm glad they didn't turn this into a series for kids, because the crass, rude, hilarious quips from God Cat are amusing and exactly what this needs to succeed. This looks like proper fun!
