"Three years ago, we met Mizu. Next stop: London." ⚔️ Netflix revealed a new promo for the next season of
Blue Eye Samurai, the badass
animated story following the samurai Mizu on her path of revenge. This announcement confirms that the second season of the Emmy winning series will launch on Netflix starting
January 19th, 2027 in just a few months. There's not much
new footage here - only a few quick glimpses at the second season at the end of the video. The
most recent teaser from a few months back features even footage from the story taking place in the UK. Mizu's quest for revenge will continue. In the coming season, Mizu's bloody quest continues in London, where she faces new friends, old foes, and her own demons. In Japan, Akemi (
Brenda Song) and Taigen (
Darren Barnet) navigate Edo Castle under a dangerous new shogun, meanwhile Ringo searches for a new purpose. The voice cast features
Maya Erskine returning as Mizu along with
Masi Oka. The rest is still a secret! I wish we could get a sense of what's happening with the story in London as I'm not particular excited to see her leave Japan. But so be it! I expect they will throw in some riveting twists & turns as she battles new foes & makes new friends. Mark the day in your calendar. //
