Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz has decided to challenge the new Punjab Local Government Bill 2019 in the court.
Addressing media outside the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shhebaz said PA has passed the new local government bill by carrying one-sided proceeding in the house. “We’ll challenge the new local government bill in the court.
“What was the need to end the local body system in Punjab as its 2.5 years tenure was still remaining,” he added.
Earlier today, the Punjab Assembly passed two bills, The Punjab Local Government Bill 2019, The Punjab Villages Panchayats and Neighborhood Councils Bill 2019.
Later, The Punjab Assembly session was adjourned to meet again on Thursday afternoon at 02 PM.
