18th Century Comedy Film 'Savage House' Trailer with Richard E. Grant

"You're an acquired taste, sir." Paramount UK has revealed a fun official trailer for a British kooky comedy called Savage House, the latest film made by filmmaker Peter Glanz, who wrote ad directed this. It's ready for a release in UK cinemas starting in June this summer, but still has no final US release date set yet. While this is very British, I think US audiences will be just as amused. Set in 18th century England during pox outbreak and Jacobite uprising, Sir Chauncey and Lady Savage blindly pursue better life. Their pursuit filled with ironic decadence and bloodshed. A darkly satirical play on class and power. "Duels erupt like sudden thunderstorms, alliances crumble over candlelit dinners, and the Savages’ stately home becomes a stage for absurdity and brutality alike." Staring Richard E. Funny Trailer for McDonagh's 'Wild Horse 9' w/ Malkovich & Rockwell

"Your country's going to be absolutely fine!" Ha ha. Oh, no. Searchlight Pictures has surprisingly revealed the first official trailer for Wild Horse Nine, also listed as Wild Horse 9, a wild new 1970s dark comedy from acclaimed filmmaker Martin McDonagh. This hasn't premiered at any festivals or anywhere else yet - but it's already set for release in theaters in November right at the end of this year. Still 8 more months from now. Wild Horse 9 is McDonagh's fifth movie so far, following up The Banshees of Inisherin a few years ago. Set shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup (in which they helped take out their socialist president), CIA agents Chris and Lee embark upon a trust-testing mission from Santiago out to Easter Island. This "gripping, tender, urgent love story" follows one couple as they go through the drama of trying to have a baby. Starring Paapa Essiedu (seen in The Outrun, "Black Mirror") & Siobhan Cullen (seen in "Bodkin") as Stephen & Lisa. They learn to navigate pregnancy loss amid everyday life. Through grief & isolation, their bond grows stronger as they find healing through hope, humor, and love. The series also features Charlotte Riley & Jack Bannon as Amanda & Dave - a new couple navigating their own challenges, testing their compatibility. Their complex relationship, set against Lisa & Stephen's ongoing pregnancy journey, begins to expose cracks in Stephen & Dave's long-standing friendship. I feel there's such a warm, wholesome chemistry between Essiedu & Cullen which makes this so watchable. I'm intrigued even if it all seems a bit cliche & melodramatic. Sony Pictures + Marvel Studios have revealed the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, arriving in theaters starting in July this summer. This is the fourth solo Spider-Man with Tom Holland, produced in partnership with Marvel Studios and made by Sony. Spider-Man: Brand New Day once again stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, who is trying to move on from being the superhero Spider-Man after his multiverse experience in No Way Home, alas he's back to fight off more villains. The cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk / Brue Banner, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Michael Mando as the villain Scorpion, and Tramell Tillman. Plus the voiceover in this sounds like it's from Keith David. So far so good, even if the CGI in this looks rough, the rest of it looks like a proper Spidey rebirth/rebooth.
