Katey Sagal in Brea Grant's Country Music Horror 'Torn Hearts' Trailer

"Which one of you is better?" Blumhouse has revealed an official trailer for a new film titled Torn Hearts, directed by the very talented actress & filmmaker Brea Grant. This is her third feature film so far and she's getting even better with each and every one. "Things are headed south in Torn Hearts as a country music duo in Nashville meet their idol only to find out it isn't quite the dream they imagined….How far would you go for your dreams?" That's the intro. The film follows a country music duo from Nashville who seek out the private mansion of their idol and end up in a twisted series of horrors that force them to confront the limits they'd go for their dreams. The film stars Katey Sagal and Abby Quinn, with Alexxis Lemire, Joshua Leonard, and Shiloh Fernandez. This doesn't sound like horror, but oh it definitely is. It's a very clever spin on music celebrities with some stylish scares and dark twists. I really dig this - definitely worth a look. ›››

Disappearance Thriller 'Last Seen Alive' Trailer Starring Gerard Butler

"I'm a simple guy. I don't have any special skills… No secret service. No special forces. But when someone harms my wife… there will be hell to pay." Voltage Pictures has revealed an official trailer for Last Seen Alive, an intriguing new disappearance thriller starring & produced by Gerard Butler. It used to have the title Chase, and should be out this summer. After Will Spann’s wife suddenly vanishes at a gas station, his desperate search to find her leads him down a dark path—one that forces him to run from authorities and take the law into his own hands. He descends into into the town's criminal underbelly in a race against time to find her. Butler stars with Jaimie Alexander, Dani Deetté, Aleks Alifirenko Jr, Robert Walker Branchaud, Jordan Salloum, and David Kallaway. That "no secret service" line is a fun nod to Butler's other movies. And the rest of this actually looks solid - Butler with a grizzled, almost deranged performance. ›››

Official Trailer for 'Breath' Survival Film - In a Hole Inside a Volcano

"No food, no signal, no help, no hope." Uncork'd Ent. has revealed a trailer for a movie called Breath, made by filmmaker John Real. This almost plays like an Asylum remake of 127 Hours, but with a female lead and a *gasp* volcano twist. It looks pretty bad, oh well. Lara Winslet is an expert geologist in volcanology. She is with her team to conduct some surveys, and one day decides to stay longer to finish some work. But she has an accident, falling inside a hole in the ground. She remains stuck inside there, where no one can either see or hear her. It is now a race against time to get out safely. Rachel Daigh stars as Laura Winslet, with a small cast including James Cosmo and Neb Chupin. I know getting a guy from "Game of Thrones" is a big get, but it's a shame the marketing is highlighting him over the actress who is actually the one giving the stuck-inside-this-hole performance that makes up most of the movie anyway. Check out the footage below. ›››

Soldiers in a Foxhole in Trailer for Time-Hopping 'Foxhole' War Film

"We're representing the United States of America… Who are we?" Samuel Goldwyn Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled Foxhole, the second feature from filmmaker / actor / composer Jack Fessenden. This premiered at a few small film festivals last fall, and will be out on VOD in the US this May. Unfolding over 36 hours in three different wars - the American Civil War, World War I, and Iraq. Foxhole follows a small group of soldiers who are confronted in a confined space with questions of their morality, the futility of their actions, and an increasingly unpredictable combat situation. Description from one of the fests: "There is no war, there is no patriotic goal, not even orientation in the most elementary sense. All there is, is a foxhole, a wall of fog and a desperate will not to die." This stars Motell Gyn Foster, Alex Hurt, Cody Kostro, Angus O'Brien, James Le Gros, Andi Matichak, Alex Breaux, Asa Spurlock. It looks rough around the edges, but still seems to be worthy exploration of the futility and brutality of war. ›››
