"Everything he did turned to gold." Netflix has unveiled the main trailer for a controversial documentary series titled Mr. McMahon, a look at the infamous WWE co-founder and top businessman. This new series is launching streaming on Netflix starting at the end of September, right before Netflix's wrestling WWE Raw live events launch in 2025. What an intriguing coincidence. Filmmaker Chris Smith (of Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond, Fyre, Tiger King) and executive producer Bill Simmons present this doc: an unflinching, no-holds-barred look at one of the most enigmatic figures in sports entertainment. The six-part doc series presents a comprehensive look at the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, controversial businessman and co-founder of WWE (formerly called the WWF when it started). From his transformation of the WWE from a small, regional business into today's global entertainment powerhouse to the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that led to his eventual resignation, this six-episode series offers a deep dive into McMahon’s life and his enduring franchise.
