"It's just us now... we're on our own." Netflix has debuted a second teaser for true crime series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, from Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan. From the makers of Dahmer comes this series streaming in September. It's a dramatic version of their story, not really a doc series, but a thriller series based on a real crime examining what might've been the actual story. Two wealthy brothers stand trial for killing their parents, claiming self-defense after years of abuse, while prosecutors allege greed as the motive. The story follows Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who fatally shot their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. During their trials, the brothers cited years of abuse as the reason for murdering their parents. However, prosecutors argued that their motive was to get their hands on the family fortune. Javier Bardem & Chloë Sevigny star as their parents Jose & Kitty Menendez, with newcomers Nicholas Alexander Chavez & Cooper Koch portraying brothers Lyle & Erik Menendez.
