"Planning an exciting event in North London? Look no further than Picturehouse's five-screen cinema in Crouch End." 📽 One of the best cinema chains in the UK is called Picturehouse - based mainly in/around London, they also have cinemas in a few other cities as well. They're one of the best in terms of quality and theatrical experience (I recommend going to the Picturehouse Central in Soho - one of my favorite theaters in the world). The official Picturehouse YouTube posted a series of 5 video tours inside of 5 of their cinemas: the Regal Picturehouse at Henley, City Screen York, Epsom Square, Crouch End, & Ealing Picturehouse. The videos were created to promote the venues for use in events & meetings. They want to get more people not in cinema to rent them. Or you can rent one of the screens and throw a private movie night for your friends & family. 🍿 Because I'm still a movie theater nerd, and FS has always been about hyping up the theatrical experience, I'm featuring all the videos below anyway. Watch: Director James Gunn Visits the Video Club in Paris for Konbini

"People gotta go to the movies... The movies have become very unrisky as possible. And the truth is, to get people go to the movies, you have to take some risks." Indeed – I completely agree with him on this point. One of the latest filmmakers to visit the famous "Video Club" video store in Paris is director James Gunn, while promoting the release of Superman. They recently had Francis Ford Coppola and Luca Guadagnino (along with Nicolas Winding Refn and Gareth Edwards), but now it's Gunn's turn to geek out about movies in the Paris video shop. Gunn peruses the store and picks out some of his favorite movies including: Kung Fu Hustle, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Villainess (which has directly inspired many action sequences in his movies), Herzog's Rescue Dawn, Ti West's Pearl, Jaws (of course everyone loves it), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pixar's The Incredibles, and great filmmakers including Preston Sturges & Sergio Leone. Official Trailer for 'Journey Home, David Gulpilil' Doc About the Actor

"I live in my land, and land, it lives with me. We live together." Madman Films in Australia has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Journey Home, David Gulpilil, made by filmmakers Maggie Miles & Trisha Morton-Thomas. It premiered at the 2025 Sydney Film Festival last month, and next plays at the Melbourne Film Festival in Australia. Everyone in cinema knows his face - Aboriginal actor David Gulpilil, who famously starred in Nicolas Roeg's Walkabout. Gulpilil passed away in 2021 (at age 68) but it was important to return his body back to his homeland up in Northern Australia. Gulpilil's life & work were previously explored in his own words in Darlene Johnson's Gulpilil: One Red Blood and Molly Reynolds's My Name Is Gulpilil; in this final chapter of his singular story, narrated by Hugh Jackman and Yolngu hip-hop artist Baker Boy, the filmmakers portray the man through the eyes of his community. Intimately chronicling the epic trip through to its culmination in a Yolngu funeral ceremony, the doc serves as a fitting tribute to a legend of Australian cinema. KVIFF 2025: Brazil Sci-Fi 'The Blue Trail' is a Refreshing Awakening

There are more and more stories being told in film about people growing old. Earlier this summer, Music Box released the lovely little film Familiar Touch, described as a "coming-of-old-age" story about a woman who moves into a nursing home. A few years ago, there was a Japanese film titled Plan 75 about the option for anyone after 75 to be terminated so they don't overburden Japanese society – but, of course, not all old people really want to go. I'm also a big fan of the Oscar nominated documentary from Chile titled The Mole Agent, which was recently adapted into the Netflix series A Man on the Inside set inside a retirement home. Another film about aging is this one from Brazil – The Blue Trail, the latest feature directed by Brazilian filmmaker Gabriel Mascaro (also of the films August Winds, Neon Bull, Divine Love). It first premiered at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival, where it won Grand Jury Prize at the end, but I just caught up with at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in Czechia and I'm glad I had a chance to catch it on the big screen. First Teaser Trailer for 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II' Animated Series

"David's dead. But Night City lives on." Get ready to return to Night City again. Netflix has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the next anime series set in the Cyberpunk universe. This is an announcement promo stating that the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners sequel is "now in production." No release date is set - most likely it will debut in early 2026. This anime series is set in the world of (the video game) Cyberpunk 2077 - it's produced by TRIGGER under the supervision of CD Projekt RED. It's also a continuation of the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series which first launched on Netflix in 2022 (watch the trailer). Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will mark the directorial debut of Kai Ikarashi, with Ichigo Kanno as lead character designer. No other details are known yet - but this teaser indicates some Night City characters will be back for more. There's also a romance teased in this footage...
