Marshmallow is a horror film "for kids" about kids at summer camp encountering a scary doctor, made by the director / VFX artist Daniel DelPurgatorio as his first feature film. 12-year-old Morgan Kim is terrified of summer camp—especially the spooky campfire stories. But when a masked "doctor" figure from legend comes to life, he must conquer his fears, protect his friends, and uncover Camp Almar's dark secret before it’s too late. This group of young campers will uncover a profound secret that questions their very existence. Starring Kue Lawrence as Morgan, with Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen, Paul Soter, Pierson Fode, and a bunch of other camp kids. I'm glad someone is still trying to make horror movies that younger viewers can watch. The villain in this isn't the scariest thing out there, but that's obviously because this is trying to introduce kids to horror without all the gory stuff. Trafalgar Releasing and AMC have revealed the first teaser trailer for a new documentary film titled Stans, produced by and inspired by Eminem and his life as a celebrity. The film is an examination of the modern superfandom culture, built around the term to "stan" someone and the many massive "stans" there are out there. The short teaser comes direct from Eminem's YT page, where he states that it will be released in theaeters on August 7th this summer. "This one's for the Stans, by the Stans! Fantasia Teaser for 'Terrestrial' Sci-Fi Thriller Starring Jermaine Fowler

Terrestrial is directed by filmmaker Steve Pink, best known as the director of the two Hot Tub Time Machine movies previously. Jermaine Fowler stars as the author Allen, about to hit it big with a book & movie deal, but something seems strange about him. Apple TV has revealed the official trailer for Season 2 of their hit comedy series titled Platonic, following two platonic friends getting into all kinds of trouble. The original season of Platonic launched in 2023 (here's the trailer) and it was a great showcase for the comedy antics of Rogen & Byrne, continuing from the Neighbors movies. Co-created, directed and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, Platonic picks up with everyone's favorite pair of best friends (starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as Will and Sylvia) as they contend with new midlife hurdles, including work, weddings & partners in crises. Watch: Danny Boyle & DP Anthony Dod Mantle Discuss '28 Years Later'

Sony has revealed a 7-minute behind-the-scenes featurette for the hit zombie horror sequel 28 Years Later, which is now playing in theaters worldwide (one of my favorite films of the year so far). Following the trend set by Ryan Coogler with Sinners discussing film formats, they've released a cool video featuring Danny Boyle and his cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle (who also shot Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Trance, T2 Trainspotting and has an Oscar) discussing the style and techniques to film 28 Years Later. As everyone already knows, this British zombie horror movie was shot using iPhones, along with professional lenses and technical equipment attached to them, of course. They discuss all the equipment and the look they were going for, inspired by the rough digital look of the very first 28 Days Later all those years ago (c. 2002). I always geek out at all the things they discuss and insight offered in this video – including the detail about turning off image stabilization on the iPhone and having to hold the cameras especially steady. Freaky Trailer for Time Loop Film 'Exit 8' - Trapped in a Metro Station

"Enter the loop..." Can you find your way out of a Japanese train station? Umbrella Entertainment down in Australia is the first to release an official English language trailer for the Japanese film Exit 8, a time loop horror thriller from filmmaker Genki Kawamura. This premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight section – somehow I completely missed it! A man gets lost in an underground passage. He follows the "guide" through the passage, but one after another, strange things happen to him. Is this space real? Or an illusion? Will the man be able to escape? This is based on a video game (it's on Steam), which is obvious because the trailer has a game vibe, and it reminds me of "Severance". The rules of his quest are simple: do not overlook anything out of the ordinary. If you discover an anomaly, turn back immediately. If you don't, carry on. Then leave from Exit 8. But even a single oversight will send him back to the beginning. Will he ever reach his goal and escape the infinite corridor? This stars Kazunari Ninomiya and Yamato Kochi.
