First Trailer for Trio of New 'Untold' Sports History Stories from Netflix

"If I'm a bad guy, then everyone in football is a bad guy." Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for the next round of documentaries as part of their Untold doc series. This doc offering first launched in 2021, created by Chapman Way & Maclain Way (of Wild Wild Country), telling some of the greatest sports history stories that have never been told before this way (here's the first trailer for the original 2021 season) The critically acclaimed docu series returns with three new stories for 2024, pulling back the curtain on epic tales from the wide (and wild) world of sports. From the shocking murder of former NFL MVP Steve "Air" McNair to the first ever sit-down with Connor Stalions at the center of the Michigan college football sign-stealing scandal to the story of Hope Solo, a complicated icon of women's soccer – these new stories go well beyond the headlines and upend what we thought we knew. This time the new docs will debut within three weeks - one right after another, starting on August 20th with The Murder of Air McNair first, followed by Sign Stealer, then Hope Solo vs. U.S. Soccer. Ella Purnell in Quick Teaser Trailer for 'Sweetpea' Dark Comedy Series

"People don't really see me. Like, not at all, actually." Sky TV has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a dark comedy series called Sweetpea, arriving for streaming in the UK and US this fall. "The girl everyone overlooks might just be able to get away with murder." This series is based on the book of the same name written by CJ Skuse, the first in a series of books about a sweet young woman who starts killing people. The TV series is described as "a deviously twisted coming-of-'rage' story." Ella Purnell (from Yellowjackets, Sweetbitter, and the recent Fallout series) who also serves as executive producer, stars as Rhiannon, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. The series cast includes Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing, Calam Lynch, Leah Harvey, Jeremy Swift, Dustin Demri-Burns, and Luke McGibney. Only 30 seconds of footage in here so far, not much beyond a quick intro to Purnell's character. Screambox has revealed the amusing official trailer for a Canadian horror comedy movie called We Are Zombies, arriving to watch this month streaming on the horror channel Screambox TV. The makers of Turbo Kid and Summer of 84 offer a fresh take on the undead – it's the latest from the filmmaker group called RKSS, short for "Roadkill Superstars". What do we do with all the undead strolling around? I tend to be drawn to these kind of distinctly unique animation creations, exploring visuals & ideas that can't always be described in words (more in our short film archives). French production studio Eddy has debuted their latest animated music video - for the song "Au Coeur du Son" (meaning "In the Heart of the Son"), by saxophonist Rémi Fox. It's less of a music video, more of animated short film which has a very peculiar narrative. Dive into a fascinating journey with Cesare, a young musicology student enchanted by the mystical words of a mysterious professor. The video is directed by a duo known as "Marie & Lucas" - exploring the depths of music and the human soul, mixing mystery, art and transformation. The animation style is extra vibrant and it features magnificent hand-drawn backdrops. First Teaser for Joe Wright's Mussolini Series 'M. Son of the Century'

"We are the new. Every era has one." Sky TV has revealed the first teaser trailer for the new series titled M. Son of the Century, a chilling look at the rise of fascism in Italy. This series is set to premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival later this month. Chronicling the rise of power of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in a history of a country that surrendered to dictatorship. It's clearly an examination of how democracy leads to fascism, as is hinted at with this footage in the teaser. Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Antonio Scurati, winner of the Premio Strega. Featuring a techno soundtrack by Tom Rowlands, part of The Chemical Brothers (awesome!!). "You can play with the aesthetics and the form of the piece. The score is going to be this kind of techno score," Wright told Variety. "And the aesthetics are a kind of mashup between '90s rave culture and Man with a Movie Camera [1929 seminal avant-garde doc], a great Ukrainian film. Juggalos Wild Road Trip Comedy Thriller 'Off Ramp' Official Trailer
