Elisabeth Moss is Haunted in Super Bowl Spot for 'The Invisible Man'

"Wherever you go… I'll be standing right behind you." Universal has debuted a new 30-second Super Bowl TV spot for The Invisible Man, the modern horror sci-fi remake of this classic story, made by acclaimed Australian actor / writer / director Leigh Whannell. This is the first footage we've seen since the first full trailer arrived late last year. Award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss stars in this terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal's classic monster character (the original film opened in 1933). She plays a woman who tries to flee her abusive, controlling scientist husband, only to end up being haunted by him when he suddenly kills himself. The cast also includes Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Benedict Hardie, and Sam Smith. This looks so good, but I think it's mostly because Whannell is a talented filmmaker and knows what he's doing. Perhaps a touch of Upgrade action? Bring it. ›››

Thrilling Super Bowl TV Spot for Joe Kosinski's 'Top Gun: Maverick'

"My dad believed in you… I'm not going to make the same mistake." Paramount Pictures has launched a new 30-second Super Bowl TV spot for Top Gun: Maverick, following the fantastic full trailer debuted at the end of last year. We finally get a better look at the high altitude stealth jet that Maverick is flying in one quick shot, along with more context regarding the story - Goose's son nicknamed "Rooster" doesn't seem to like Maverick much. Tom Cruise plays Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, and Val Kilmer is also back; with a full cast including Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris. Final Trailer for Live-Action 'Mulan' with Liu Yifei, Jet Li, Donnie Yen

"You will know take the oath of the warrior!" Disney has released the final official trailer for the live-action Mulan movie opening at the end of March in theaters everywhere. This trailer was teased during the Super Bowl as a shorter TV spot and the full-length version can be seen below. This live-action update of Mulan is directed by Niki Caro (Whale Rider, McFarland USA, and The Zookeeper's Wife) and stars Liu Yifei as the legendary Hua Mulan. Based on the original 1998 animated movie, about a young Chinese maiden who disguises herself as a male warrior to fight and save her father. Set during the Han dynasty, she takes her father's place to fight an incoming Hun invasion. Also starring Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Yoson An, Gong Li, Jason Scott Lee, Tzi Ma, Ron Yuan, Jimmy Wong, Rosalind Chao, and Utkarsh Ambudkar. This looks like it's going to be very entertaining. This is a follow-up to his other theatrically-released movies, most recently Sponge Out of Water from 2015, and the original SpongeBob movie back in 2004. SpongeBob and Patrick embark on a hilarious adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City in order to #SaveGary in this sponge-tastic sequel. Featuring the voices of Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Awkwafina, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Douglas Lawrence, and Reggie Watts. Find your own voice! This is one of the films that deserves to break out of the Sundance Film Festival this year – a refreshingly original, totally badass, uncompromising directorial debut. 'Minari' Wins Both Grand Jury & Audience Award at Sundance 2020

The official awards for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival were announced this weekend at a ceremony in Park City, Utah. We've all been curious to see who's taking home awards at Sundance this year, and now we know - it's one of the most talked about of the fest. Finally, a real winner this year!
