The United States says Iran is responsible for the attacks on tankers in Gulf of Oman.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo talking to news persons in Washington said the United States has assessed the type of weapons used and sophistication of assaults.
He said Iran’s unprovoked attacks are part of a campaign to escalate tension and it is working to disrupt the flow of oil through Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has described the incident as suspicious and said their naval forces are investigating the incident.
