"Breathe. Focus. Emanate." Looking for a totally bonkers horror short? Stop right here. This wacky, weird, especially disgusting short film called Sushi Noh will satiate your bonkers desires. The short comes from Australia, made by a filmmaker named Jayden Rathsam Hüa. It's 18 minutes in total but stick through it all - it gets weirder and crazier at the end. Trapped in the care of her lonely uncle, a young girl's nightmares about a bizarre kitchen appliance manifest into reality. Sushi Noh is about a magical sushi-maker machine that her uncle buys, that is also some kind of demonic force. Starring Geneva Phan as "Ellie, and Felino Dolloso as Donnie. After watching this, you'll need to take a beak from eating sushi... You never know what will happen after? 🐟 🍣 This sushi maker seems to be a riff on the Thermomix machines everyone loves these days. Official Trailer for 'The Letter League' Doc About Pandemic Pen Pals
"My pen pal is a true badass woman." An official trailer has debuted for an indie documentary film titled The Letter League, made by filmmaker Michelle Boyaner. The film is premiering this upcoming weekend at the 2023 QDoc Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. Everyone has heard of pen pals, and everyone probably had a pen pal at one point in school. But why stop? Why not keep writing to people randomly around the world? That's what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Letter League documentary tells the story of queer artist Heather Spooner and the adult pen pal program she created during the 2020 pandemic, featuring the poignant and humorous stories of connection and humanity that came from it. A heartfelt film about connection, and how much we really need to feel connected and understood when times are tough. Mysterious Sci-Fi Horror Film 'The Veil' Trailer with Rebekah Kennedy
"Hope I didn't wake the others..." "The others...?? There's nobody around for acres..." FilmFrontier Studios has unveiled an official festival trailer for an indie film titled The Veil, now playing on the festival circuit. Written & directed & produced by Cameron Beyl, this just premiered in his hometown of Portland at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival earlier this month. Not to be confused with the 2016 horror film The Veil with Jessica Alba, or the 2021 Korean spy thriller series The Veil, this one is something else. Redemption gives way to a reckoning when a reclusive retired priest shelters a young Amish runaway in crisis, only to uncover a mystery that ties her presence to a terrifying encounter from his youth– and the bright aurora borealis that rages overhead. The little indie film stars Sean O'Bryan and Rebekah Kennedy. A "genre bending cosmic horror" that definitely seems like a good fit for the H.P. Lovecraft Festival, with that extra beautiful glowing green adding lots of mysteriousness to the film's vibe. And – yeah this girl totally has to be an alien. // Continue Reading ›

Watch: 'What Do Jason Voorhees + Kermit Have In Common?' Video
"So what happens when the audience grows tired of the same old stories, and starts craving something new? You can't swap the slasher, so you swap the setting." This fun little video essay created by filmmaker Will Webb is a quick 5 minute watch. Created by Little White Lies, this video is titled "What Do Jason Voorhees And Kermit Have In Common?" Watch and find out! It might not be what you're expecting? Webb's essay is actually about horror franchises, and how even the sequels all follow a familiar pattern. His main focus is on the masked killer Jason Voorhees from the the Friday the 13th series, going through all of the sequels leading up to Jason Takes Manhattan (1989), Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993), and Jason X (2001). He also references the Leprechaun and Hellraiser horror franchises. I wish there was more on The Muppets and Kermit's connection to Jason, but it's still amusing. And now I want to watch all these. // Continue Reading ›

Kenan & Kel Return for More Shenanigans in 'Good Burger 2' Trailer
"MegaCorp wants to replace everybody with robots. We gotta do something! Paramount+ has revealed the full official trailer for the comedy sequel Good Burger 2, streaming this November. Huh – I thought this was already out and forgotten about already...? I guess not. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are back again as Dexter Reed and Ed, following up the events of the first film, now 26 years later. It's a sequel to the film Good Burger (from 1997), which was itself based on a comedy sketch from on the Nickelodeon series All That. "Calling all dudes—buckle up, because the new adventures of Ed and Dex start now! Your favorite fast food duo is back and serving up nostalgic laughs and new antics in Good Burger 2." The film's cast also includes Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, Alex R. Hibbert, Kamaia Fairburn, plus Jillian Bell as an evil CEO, Lil Rel Howery as the CEO's lawyer, and Carmen Electra. The original director isn't back, though two of the writers are, if that's any consolation. This still looks really bad, an entirely unnecessary sequel with a bad plot brought back just so they can try and get more subscribers for Paramount+. Have fun. // Continue Reading ›

Jesse Eisenberg & Adrien Brody in Man Cult Film 'Manodrome' Trailer
"Take back your power, Ralph!!" Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a film called Manodrome, an indie creation from South African filmmaker John Trengove (director of The Wound previously). This premiered at the Berlin Film Festival to mostly mixed to positive reviews - its a very slick film, although it doesn't particularly stand out much. Conflicted about his girlfriend's pregnancy, Ralphie's life spirals out of control when he meets a mysterious family of men. Manodrome is a clever criticism of toxic masculinity and fragile men who are obsessed with being men (you know the ones). Jesse Eisenberg stars as one of these guys who falls into this kind of cult for men, run by Adrien Brody. Then it gets really crazy... The cast also features Odessa Young, Philip Ettinger, Sallieu Sesay, Ethan Suplee, Evan Joningkeit, and Caleb Eberhardt. I saw this at Berlinale earlier in the year - it's a good film, with some great performances, that quite boldly challenges modern masculinity by showing the reality of just how dull all these men really are. // Continue Reading ›

Revisiting Her Teen Years - 'You Were My First Boyfriend' Doc Trailer
"The paradox of going back [in time] is to have to succumb, once again, to that sense of yourself as totally inconsequential. So why on earth would I go back?" HBO has unveiled an official trailer for a documentary film titled You Were My First Boyfriend, directed and produced by Cecilia Aldarondo (“Memories of a Penitent Heart”, “Landfall”) and co-directed by Sarah Enid Hagey. This premiered at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival this year, and it will be out to watch on HBO / Max streaming soon this November. "What if you could rewrite your adolescence?" is the predominant thought. You Were My First Boyfriend is a hybrid doc film that embarks on a fantastical quest to reconcile one woman's tortured teen years by revisiting her most formative and cringeworthy experiences. As she describes in this trailer, it's an attempt at an "exorcism" of the horrors of her time growing up, and the memories that still haunt her. Review: Chloe Domont's 'Fair Play' Poignantly Tackles Gender Politics
One of the main reasons why the Sundance Film Festival is so popular amongst cinephiles is the total focus on purely indie stories, often handled by first-time directors, writers, actors, and many others pursuing their dreams. Fair Play was highly acclaimed at this year's edition of the event (here's Alex's review), continuing to collect positive reactions during its festival run throughout the year. As it has finally made its streaming debut on Netflix worldwide, I approached it with somewhat high expectations, hoping that Chloe Domont's feature directorial debut deserved the hype. Domont delves into complex gender dynamics, highlighting the biases faced by successful women in various fields, shining a light on the challenges of couples working side by side in a tense big city thriller that builds up to an admittedly divisive ending. Independently of each viewer's position regarding this conclusion, it's the careful study and respective messages that really matter. // Continue Reading ›

Second US Trailer for 'Four Daughters' Hybrid Doc Film from Tunisia
"Are you not ashamed?" Kino Lorber has debuted another trailer for the film titled Four Daughters, a doc hybrid from acclaimed Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania (also of Beauty and the Dogs & The Man Who Sold His Skin). It's opening in select US theaters soon - playing at a few art house cinemas. The film initially premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Many great reviews are quoted in this trailer. Winner of four prizes including the L'Oeil d'Or (Best Documentary) at Cannes, Four Daughters is a compelling portrait of five women and a unique and ambitious work of nonfiction storytelling exploring the nature of memory, the weight of inherited trauma, and the ties that bind mothers and daughters. Between light and darkness stands Olfa – a Tunisian woman who is the mother of four daughters. One day, her two older daughters disappear. To fill in their absence, the director invites professional actresses and invents a unique cinema experience that will lift the veil on Olfa and her daughters' life stories. An intimate journey of hope, rebellion, violence, transmission and sisterhood that will question the very foundations of our societies. 🇹🇳 It looks like a very emotional film that does not shy away from sharing hard-to-tell stories. // Continue Reading ›

"Haven't you been picking up on what's going on out there?" First Trailer for China's 'Sharktopus' Remake - Featuring Better VFX
"No one will survive the bloodythirst beast!" Iqiyi in China has released on streaming a fun creature feature called Sharktopus, another of these dumb shark concepts. This Chinese remake is riffing on the 2010 SyFy channel movie also called Sharktopus, produced by Julie and Roger Corman as one of the first low budget shark-mania movies. This new version is already out for streaming in China, though no info yet on when it will show up in other countries. This film tells the story of Fan Jingya (starring Michelle Ye), who devoted herself to researching a cure for Motor Neuron Disease to save her son. However, her boss, Mr. Chen, used her research to create an Octoshark, a highly intelligent hybrid of octopuses and sharks. And this caused a disaster (of course, it always does). Trapped on a cruise, Fan Jingya and her old flame, Lu Fei, have a battle of wits against the Octoshark. Also starring Luo Li-Qun, Chen Wen-Jun, and Lemon Li. This seems to have slightly better VFX, along with a bigger budget overall allowing them to get a bit crazier, though it still looks as cheesy and as ridiculous as the original. Hulu Trailer for Dark Comedy 'Culprits' Series with Gemma Arterton
"If we fight, we die. If we run, we die." Hulu has unveiled an official trailer for a crime comedy series titled Culprits, made in England for Disney UK. It's the latest creation from filmmaker J Blakeson, best known for his films The Disappearance of Alice Creed, The 5th Wave, and I Care a Lot previously. After a heist, the crew have gone their separate ways, but now, they are being targeted by a killer one-by-one. Culprits kicks off where most crime stories end: after a high-stakes heist, when the crew of elite criminals have gone their separate ways. Past and present collide when a ruthless assassin starts targeting them. Why are they being stalked, who is behind the mayhem, and will they be able to find one another in time to protect themselves and the people they love? Sitges 2023: Clever Indie Sci-Fi Romance 'Molli & Max in the Future'
"Life is so complex... And overwhelming. And it's so hard to figure out what's real and what isn't... What matters and what doesn't. Whether your feelings betray, or if they are your only compass..." Ahhh yes, the eternally mysterious questions about life and love. There's no easy way to answer these ruminations, which is why we tell stories. This is why we make films, sing songs, read books, to spend time with stories that help us figure out our own ways, help us figure out how (or at least guide us) to make sense of the lives we're all living. That is the best intro I can muster for this charming indie romantic comedy discovery. Fernando Frias' New Film 'I Don't Expect Anyone to Believe Me' Trailer
"Who do you think you're working with, buddy?" Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a crime thriller from Mexico titled I Don't Expect Anyone to Believe Me, which sounds much more like a film for a sci-fi or supernatural horror than a drama like this. It's the latest film from the acclaimed filmmaker Fernando Frias of the sensational Mexican drama I'm No Longer Here from a few years ago (which is also on Netflix to watch). In this film, Juan Pablo Villalobos travels with his girlfriend to study for a PhD in Literature in Barcelona. But before he leaves Mexico, he gets involved in a criminal network, which inspires him to write the novel of his dreams (called "I Don't Expect Anyone to Believe Me"), while his life takes many absurd & sinister turns. Based on the novel by Juan Pablo Villalobos, this stars Darío Yazbek with Natalia Solián, Alexis Ayala, Juan Minujín, Carmen Beato, Anna Castillo, Ivano Palatucci, & Antonia Robolini. This trailer has a much more upbeat vibe than expected, despite all the heavy undertones of the crime story. // Continue Reading ›

Watch: Making Of - Wes Anderson's 'Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar'
"We shot these on 16mm. We wanted our film to seem like it might've been made for British TV in 1980..." Netflix has debuted a magnificent behind-the-scenes featurette for the Wes Anderson film The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, which is streaming now on Netflix to watch worldwide. It's one of his other new films this year (after Asteroid City), one of the four short films adapted from Roald Dahl stories for Netflix. This 37-minute adaptation for the screen tells the story of a rich man who learns about a guru who can see without using his eyes and then sets out to master the skill in order to cheat at gambling. Anderson's take on Henry Sugar stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Mr. Sugar, along with Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley, Richard Ayoade, Rupert Friend, and Saif Mohsen. There is such a copious amount of great behind-the-scenes shots in here, it's really quite delightful, a true inside look at the process of watching Wes Anderson make a movie. He speaks so enthusiastically about all the craftsmanship and work that goes into making the sets interact and the whole film feel unique. Makes me appreciate what he's created even more. // Continue Reading ›

A Final Trailer for 'Nyad' Film - True Story About Swimmer Diana Nyad
"I don't believe in imposed limitations. I don't believe in any limitations." Netflix is releasing their new film Nyad in limited theaters this weekend, before it arrives for streaming starting on November 3rd in a few more weeks. A few days ago, we posted a behind-the-scenes preview showing the filmmakers working on the set and in the water to make this film. It premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival, playing at London and TIFF recently. Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, and Rhys Ifans all star in NYAD to tell a remarkable true story of athlete Diana Nyad who, at the age of 60 with the help of her best friend & coach, commits to achieving her life-long dream: a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. Intense! Yes it all really happened! It's also the first narrative feature made by the Oscar-winning documentary filmmakers Jimmy Chin & Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, known for Meru, Free Solo, The Rescue, and this year's Wild Life (great films). I'm looking forward to this, at the very least to spend time with Nyad and Bonnie and learn about her story of pulling off this remarkable swim. Take a look below - and catch this film in theaters while you can. // Continue Reading ›

Official Trailer for 'Waitress: The Musical' Playing in Theaters This Fall
"When there's a whisk, there's a way." Bleecker Street has revealed an official trailer for the film version of the hit Broadway show Waitress: The Musical, which is coming to movie theaters nationwide in early December. Based on the 2007 movie written by Adrienne Shelly (and starring Keri Russell), the Waitress musical was one of the longest-running shows in recent Broadway history, playing a total of more than 1500 performances at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. It first opened in Broadway in 2016. The show returned for a limited engagement at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre to celebrate Broadway's re-opening in the fall of 2021. The Broadway show stars Sara Bareilles (who also wrote the music & lyrics) as Jenna, who's joined by Drew Gehling, Charity Dawson, Dakin Matthews, Christopher Fitzgerald, Eric Anderson, and Anastacia McCleskey. Jenna is a pregnant, unhappily married small-town pie baker with big dreams. She meets a newcomer to her town and falls into an unlikely relationship as a last attempt at happiness. Behind-the-Scenes Look at 'The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes' Movie
"We get to sort of reinvent the world of Panem." Lionsgate has revealed an extended 5-minute featurette for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes that is called "Welcome Back to Panem." This prequel is set 64 years before Katniss voluntees as tribute. Leading up to the 10th Hunger Games, Snow mentors and develops feelings for the female District 12 tribute, Lucy Gray. We've already posted two other official trailers, both of which look good, and this adds more striking footage into the mix. Rachel Zegler (from West Side Story) stars as Lucy Gray Baird, and Tom Blyth co-stars as a young Coriolanus Snow. It's directed again by Francis Lawrence, who also made The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay movies. The cast also including Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, Burn Gorman, Jason Schwartzman, Hunter Schafer, Fionnula Flanagan, and Ashley Liao. They discuss many of the elements of returning to Panem yet redesigning it with a different look and feel. It's still amusing how much of it is literally just buildings in Berlin CGI'd as Panem. Also glad they talk about composer James Newton Howard in here. // Continue Reading ›

Impressive Trailer for Sci-Fi Series 'Beacon 23' Set in the 23rd Century
"You were meant to come here... So was I." MGM+ has unveiled the full trailer for an intriguing sci-fi series called Beacon 23, set to launch in November. Beacon 23 was originally developed as a Spectrum Original series as part of an effort to entice cable subscribers, but this division was shut down and projects were sold off. It ended up at MGM and is ready to go. The story unfolds in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way in the 23rd Century following Aster (starring Lena Headey), a government agent, and Halan (Stephan James), a stoic ex-military man working at Beacon 23. They find their fates entangled after becoming trapped inside one of many Beacons that serve as a lighthouse for intergalactic travellers. Every Beacon is run by one highly trained human and a specialized A.I. Halan doesn't trust Aster, as not everything is at it seems. This is adapted from a book by Hugh Howey, who also wrote the books that Apple's sci-fi Silo series is based on. Described as "thought-provoking genre storytelling", this series features Bo Martynowska, Cyrus Faird, Stephan James, Natasha Mumbas, Stephen Root, Jaeden Noel, & Daniel Malik. Yes – this looks VERY promising, with some epic dark matter twists and expansive sci-fi concepts. Wow. I'm 100% into this. // Continue Reading ›

Emile Hirsch is a Court Stenographer in Revenge Film 'Walden' Trailer
"I hear innocence, and I hear evil. Sometimes... evil walks away." Uncork'd has revealed the trailer for a film called Walden, a revenge thriller written & directed by Mick Davis. This is getting a limited theatrical release in November before heading to VOD to watch. Walden Dean, an unassuming court stenographer in a small southern town, he discovers he is dying. So he decides to exact revenge on criminals who escaped their prosecution. The poster art for this has a "Dexter" vibe, which is probably what they're aiming for anyway. The "scales of justice" in blood is amusing, too. Starring Emile Hirsch as the titular Walden, with Shane West, Kelli Garner, Tania Raymonde, Steve Coulter, & David Keith. While this has a good concept, the footage looks like a made-for-TV Saturday night special presentation. Not much to worth watching here. // Continue Reading ›

Kellan Lutz & Jeff Fahey in Action Thriller 'Due Justice' Official Trailer
"You tell me where my money is, and I'll return your daughter to you" Saban Films has revealed an official trailer for an action thriller titled Due Justice, both written and directed by filmmaker Javier Reyna. Yet another of these junk action films getting dumped out on VOD, way too many of them this year. If that title wasn't a hint already, this is obviously about a guy getting "due justice" by going for revenge and going after the people who harmed him. Of course. A very American story. An attorney with a military past hunts down the gang who killed his wife and brother and took his daughter. Filled with shady characters and the Feds and all the usuals. Due Justice stars Kellan Lutz, Jeff Fahey, & Efren Ramirez, with Cynthia Geary, Manu Intiraymi, Chelsea Lopez, and David Jofre. Sitges 2023: Black Metal Kung Fu in 'The Invisible Fight' from Estonia
Bring on Estonian kung fu!! There's a badass little film playing on the film festival circuit this fall called The Invisible Fight, the sixth feature directed by Estonian filmmaker Rainer Sarnet. After first premiering at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, it has also played at Fantastic Fest, in Helsinki, and the Sitges Film Festival in Spain - where I was lucky enough to catch up with it. And yep – The Invisible Fight rocks! A kooky martial arts flick meets Estonian comedy set in the Soviet-era past, where a guy decides to go against the communist system and learn kung fu – just because it's cool. Even if this loses steam in the second half, this film is mega enjoyable because it's so boldly original. Where else can you learn about the temptations of black metal kung fu, taught by Orthodox monks with long beards, who insist on the importance of humility over dexterity. There's a morality tale in here, obviously, but above all it's a damn good time at the cinema. // Continue Reading ›

Trailer for 'Share' One-Room Live Feed Thriller feat. Bradley Whitford
"I'm a dude in a room talking to a dude in a room." XYZ Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Share?, from filmmaker Ira Rosensweig. The indie film is another social experiment game / live stream thriller, playing on the mechanics of social media to create something unsettling. A man awakens alone, stripped of all possessions, trapped in a bare room. Aided solely by a primitive computer, he fights to survive in a new existence where entertainment is the only currency and discover who imprisoned him, why, and if there is any possibility of escape. Melvin Gregg stars as the lead – he's not alone in this streaming prison: Bradley Whitford, Alice Braga, & Danielle Campbell are also stuck in the system, too. They don’t know how to escape or when this game will end. All they can do is keep each other company while entertaining the unseen masses through social media. This looks way better than so many other social media horror films, especially with Soderbergh's approval (according to quote in this trailer) I'm intrigued. // Continue Reading ›

Official Trailer for Outstanding Doc 'The Disappearance of Shere Hite'
"This is going to lead to real changes in sex between men and women." "Is there any danger in that...?" Yes indeed there is... IFC Films has revealed the first official trailer for an outstanding documentary film called The Disappearance of Shere Hite, from the award-winning doc filmmaker Nicole Newnham. This first premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and it was one of my favorite discoveries of the fest. A thrilling portrait of groundbreaking sex researcher Shere Hite, her explosive rise to fame and notoriety, and her mysterious retreat from the public eye. It is executive produced by Dakota Johnson, who also stars as the voice of Shere in the film. Her findings in her infamous 1976 book rocked the American establishment & presaged current conversations about gender, sexuality, and bodily autonomy. So how did Shere Hite disappear? Digging into exclusive archives, as well as Hite’s personal journals and the original survey responses, this doc film transports viewers back to a time of great societal transformation around sexuality. I'm happy to be quoted in this new trailer (here's my full review), and I will be recommending it as required viewing for any who wish to learn about her. First Trailer for Germany's Milli Vanilli Movie - 'Girl You Know It's True'
"What I'm looking for are *stars*!" Leonine Studios has revealed a trailer for a German movie called Girl You Know It's True, about the infamous duo known as Milli Vanilli, referencing one of their biggest tracks. Paramount+ is also releasing their own official Milli Vanilli doc this fall - it's streaming next week on their platform (in the US only). This movie is a fictionalized biopic version of their story. Dancers Pilatus & Morvan rise to fame in the late 80s and become stars with No.1 hits, even winning a Grammy. However, the duo never sang a word in their songs, always lip syncing. When the truth is finally revealed, they stare into the abyss while the world witnesses one of the biggest scandals in music history. Starring Tijan Njie as Rob & Elan Ben Ali as Fab, plus Matthias Schweighöfer as their sketchy record producer Frank Farian. This is a German movie because Rob and Fab met and lived in Munich, and their "Milli Vanilli" fame started in Munich in the 80s with Farian. They eventually became globally recognized stars, of course. Not sure why they're making a comeback in 2023 / 2024 with this doc + movie, but why not! "We are brothers. Jeffrey Wright & Tracee Ellis Ross in 'American Fiction' Official Trailer
"The dumber I behave, the richer I get." Ain't that the truth. MGM Studios has revealed an official trailer for the film American Fiction, the highly acclaimed featured directorial debut of writer Cord Jefferson. The film won the "People's Choice Award" at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival last month, which is a very major prize that usually indicates that the film will end up with a Best Picture nomination. It's now set for release in December in select theaters at first, with stops at AFI Fest + Denver Film Festival. Author Thelonious "Monk" Ellison is peeved because his latest offering hasn't caught fire with publishers, while a tome called We's Lives in Da Ghetto by Sintara Golden hits the bestseller lists, leaving Monk seething. It's a critical, satirical commentary on our culture's obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. This stars Jeffrey Wright as Monk, with Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Keith David, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, and Sterling K. Brown. This looks super sharp and smart, talking about a taboo topic that we're not supposed to talk about. Which is exactly what I lik seeing in films nowadays! Bring it on. // Continue Reading ›

"Tonight we are running a game! Our game, I admit, is a rather unusual one... But I can assure you that it will be far more entertaining than anyhing you have ever been a part of." That sounds like a line from the new Hunger Games movie! Ha. An early teaser trailer is out for a new horror thriller film titled Stream, from actor / filmmaker Michael Leavy. Described as "a modern take on traditional slasher films" – from the same team that brought you Terrifier 2, featuring special effects from Damien Leone. They don't give away the game, obviously it involves live streaming and they add: "Let's be honest, when it comes to slashers, four is better than one... With multiple killers competing in a sadistic game, this film has boundless creativity and an endless future." The huge ensemble cast includes Tony Todd, Jeffrey Combs, Danielle Harris, Tim Reid, Dee Wallace, Mark Holton, Felissa Rose, Daniel Roebuck, Dave Sheridan, Terry Alexander, David Howard Thornton, Charles Edwin Powell, Bob Adrian, Sydney Malakeh, Wesley Holloway, Damian Maffei, and Michael Leavy.
