At the start of the hearing Nawaz’s counsel, Khawaja Haris identified that some of the papers are missing from the case’s paper box. The defence counsel also revealed before the court that part-1 and part-2 are entirely different from the documents provided to the court.
He also told the court that some of the account details are missing from the paper box, we don’t know why they are missing.
At which, Justice Amir Farooq in his remarks said that we will order the relative branch to recheck it and will order them to rectify the missing documents of the case.
The court, however, approved the exemption request by the former premier to make an appearance in the said case. The court, later on, ordered both parties to nominate one member from both sides to nominate a member which will rectify the mistakes found in the paper box and adjourned the case’s hearing till May 9.
It is pertinent to mention here that he was granted immunity on the previous hearing on medical grounds on April 23.
Nawaz has been awarded a prison term of seven years in context to the conviction in Al-Azizia reference case by the Accountability Court.
