Russian state space corporation Roscosmos has requested the Russian Accounts Chamber to carry out inspections at every operating space company, and the Accounts Chamber will start this process with inspecting the Russian Energia Rocket and Space Corporation, Roscosmos spokesman Vladimir Ustimenko said in an interview with Sputnik.
"Roscosmos has initiated off-schedule inspections by the Accounts Chamber, which will be held in 2019. The first inspection will be carried out in the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation.
A global inspection of the entire sphere will follow. We won't settle on just Energia," Ustimenko said.
He specified that there was not currently any precise schedule of the inspections.
"Certainly, measures can be taken as a result of these inspections.
Not only administrative, but criminal cases can be launched. We will put things right, complying with all the necessary procedural norms," Ustimenko added.
