Talking to media in Risalpur, Rasheed said that now, people will decide between ‘thief’ and ‘guardian’. He also announced to sack ghost employees working in the department.
Innovations are being introduced to make Pakistan Railways a profitable institution, he added.
The minister said that the locomotives will be run with latest technology, adding that foreign entrepreneurs will be given incentives to invest in Railways for increasing its revenue.
Sheikh Rasheed said the government is also working for welfare of Railways workers.
On the other hand, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned three railway officials on November 26 in a scandal regarding purchase of expensive train engines.
The officials have alleged former minister Khawaja Saad Rafique of assistance in this regard.
