Actor Chadwick Boseman Has Died from Colon Cancer at 43 Years Old

Very sad news to report. American actor Chadwick Boseman has died after a years long battle with colon cancer. The news was officially announced on Boseman's Twitter, stating that "he died in his home, with his wife and family by his side." He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016 and has been fighting it ever since then, still making movies all the time anyway. Boseman is most well known for starring in Black Panther as T'Challa, and the subsequent Marvel movies. But he also played Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get on Up, and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. And most recently he was in Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods and Brian Kirk's 21 Bridges. "We have a right to demand what's ours." Get a first look at the first footage from another hand-painted film titled The Peasants. A few years ago, a filmmaking team made a film titled Loving Vincent, profiling the iconic Vincent Van Gogh. They painted every single frame of the film by hand, replicating Van Gogh's style. The same team is back and has already started working on their next project - The Peasants. The story follows a young woman in the late 19th century who is forced to marry a wealthy farmer, despite her love for his son. The townspeople come to despise her, but she fights on. The look is inspired "by popular realist and pre-impressionist paintings from the 19th Century, with an emphasis on the Young Poland Movement and the works of such artists as Józef Chełmoński, Ferdynand Ruszczyc, and Leon Wyczółkowski." It won't be done until 2022, considering every frame (over ~65,000) has to be painted by hand, but here's 60 seconds of footage anyway. Kamila Urzedowska will voice the main character Jagna. Paradise is a homemade editing project combining Prometheus and Alien: Covenant into a single, David-centric narrative. We all know that despite Ridley Scott returning to the Alien franchise for two movies, the results were a bit mixed. Some love them, some hate them. Some love one of the movies, but hate the other one… But the best part about them both - David, the android character played by Michael Fassbender. So that's why he wanted to craft something borrowing the storylines from both movies and condense everything into one movie. From The Ash is "a visual metaphor for pushing forward as the world seemingly crumbles around you." The crew went to the forest in Cimarron, New Mexico, near the Boy Scout ranch called Philmont. In 2018, the Ute Park wildfire burnt 36,740 acres, a large part of the ranch. To make this video, they found a part of the forest and lit controlled fires to film. "Everything was shot in a controlled setting on private land during the winter in a recently scorched wildfire area. The crew was under the supervision of forestry professionals to ensure everything was executed safely. There wasn't a single live tree touched…" I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before. Meet Dwayne Johnson as DC's 'Black Adam' in First Concept Art Teaser

"Now 5000 years later… I'm free." In addition to all the exciting new footage from Wonder Woman and Batman, Warner Bros has released an early promo teaser trailer for Black Adam at the DC FanDome event this weekend. They haven't filmed anything yet (delayed production start due to the pandemic) but they did cut together a motion-graphics trailer, featuring the voice of Dwayne Johnson, to introduce everyone to this character. The character was intended to originally be introduced in David Sandberg's Shazam! movie, but they decided to make another standalone movie to focus on Black Adam's origin story itself. Other DC characters, including the Justice Society of America, may factor into the plot of Black Adam. In addition to Johnson, the only other actor cast so far is Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. First 'Roll Call' Teaser for James Gunn's New 'The Suicide Squad' Movie

"You know the deal…" Warner Bros has revealed a teaser trailer and behind-the-scenes first look at James Gunn's new The Suicide Squad movie, a standalone sequel to the original Suicide Squad from 2017. This ensemble anti-hero DC action comedy boasts one hell of a stellar cast, bringing back Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. With a whole bunch of other talent: Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Michael Rooker, Flula Borg, Daniela Melchior, Steve Agee, David Dastmalchian, Mayling Ng, Peter Capaldi, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Sean Gunn, Storm Reid, Nathan Fillion, Joaquín Cosío, Juan Diego Botto, and Taika Waititi as King Shark (hell yes!). Each and every one of them gets introduced in this "roll call" teaser, but there's no actual footage yet. Only a few glimpses in the second video (below).
