Teachings of Sufism way forward for interfaith harmony: Dr. Firdous

Prime Minster Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says teachings of Sufism are a way forward for interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence.

In an interview, she said Prime Minster Imran Khan is going to lay the foundation stone of the Al-Qadir University at Sohawa today with the objective to teach Sufi school of thought to create peace and harmony among Muslim youths.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said Al-Qadir University will play a key role for the progress and development of Naya Pakistan as well as in creating a society, culture of harmony and tolerance in the country.

She said research in science and technology remained a special feature in Islamic history and it is time to connect our youth with this treasure.
