Five-year Islamic calendar to be ready by 15th of Ramadan: Fawad Chaudhry

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that calendar based on the moon will be prepared in the next fifteen days which will be later sent to the cabinet for approval.

Addressing a presser Federal Minister for Science and technology Fawad Chaudhry said that before 15 days calendar based on the moon will be prepared.

Federal Minister for Science and technology Fawad Chaudhry said that we respected Mufti Muneeb Ur Rehman and other Ulemas but so much elderly Ulemas take part in moon sighting which cannot see things placed in front of them.

Fawad Chaudhry said that moon sighting is totally a scientific matter adding that telescope is something 100 years old but it is not the right way to urge for moon sighting adding that prayer timings are linked to the Sun but not everyone looked the Sun going outside instead all saw watches.

He also claimed that Pakistan first astronaut will be sent to space in 2022.

Over a query, Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan Science Foundation head eats out all its funds while all of its heads will be changed.

Those who are facing inquiries will be suspended until inquiries are continued, the minister said.
