Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday presided over a corps commanders' conference, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, which reviewed geo-strategic environment and security situation of the country.
The 217th corps commanders' conference was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, the ISPR said in a statement.
The top army brass discussed progress of ongoing operations, fencing along Pakistan-Afghanistan border and Afghan reconciliation process, according to the ISPR.
The situation along the eastern border, including Indian ceasefire violations deliberately targeting innocent citizens, also came under discussion at the conference.
The top army commanders reiterated their resolve to continue efforts for bringing enduring peace in the country while supporting all initiatives towards regional peace.
